i had the idea of getting a bunch of porcs to wear guy fawkes masks and march in the portsmouth halloween parade, while holding some sort of pro-liberty sign (nothing political, just inspiring). i posted this on the fsp boards, and it got some positive (and some negative) responses. what do you think?

I'll do it by myself down in Florida. The degree to which it becomes organized depends on the level of enthusiasm for the idea, though maybe it can become a trend of liberty lovers to opt to be V for Halloween.

I'd like to. . . one problem is that my girlfriend's birthday is on Halloween.  Why not wait a few days and do it on Nov 5th?

i dunno, the whole point would be to incorporate the ideas of liberty into a well known tradition in portsmouth.

is halloween a big tradition there?  I hadn't heard actually, the only one I know is the only thing Salem, MA has going for it. . . burning weird looking and/or red haired women a few hundred years ago.

I'm supposed to get a V mask for christmas

Maybe we should just all carry our own signs. That way we're only speaking for ourselves. That way we could have all kinds of cool liberty slogans. There's a bit of quibbling going on at the FSP forum about what the sign should say.
