Yeah, my roommate Steve is an IT guy and he just ran a bunch of tests, determining that RR has it's DNS cache set incorrectly.

I've said it before, I'll say it again.........

I'm trying to find a place where I can buy this book using Paypal.

jgmaynard

Funny you should mention that, Lloyd.....

I JUST set up a page that is not even linked yet that allows all sorts of different payment options, including PayPal. You're the first kids on the block to see the new page, check it out!

http://www.keenenh.us/lightofalexandria/buy.html

And people paying through PayPal get the book autographed as well!

If you want me to mail it out, I can do that right through the new page. It's brand new, barely tested, so you get to be the guinea pig if you want... :D

If you want to save the S&H and pick it up when you're up here, we could take care of everything then....

Thank you, Lloyd. I appreciate the support.

People can now officially help the FSP by buying the book through the FSP book page.

Looks  as if there is something like his head on my body.

Got mine too!

jgmaynard

Great! Glad you hear it!  ;D I hope you both enjoy.  :)

You'll all be more than excited to know that a friend took the best picture of me I've ever seen and I just uploaded it today to Lulu, so no one else will be tortured with that picture..... LOL. It was taken a couple years ago for a FSP article, and until yesterday, it was the best picture I had of me - back when I weighed a lot more and I was wearing that STUPID purple tie. LOL

I also found one major goof in the book that I also corrected today - Where it is talking about the Second Triumvarite, and it says they "liked 300 senators as well as Cicero and hung their heads in hands in the Forum," it's supposed to be "killed"....... All the right letters, all the wrong order......  ::) I don't think I would want anyone "liking" me like that....  ;D

There's supposed to be an article about it in the NH Sunday News (aka Union Leader) this Sunday.  8)

Ooooo!  we got the RARE early, uncorected editions!

Kat Kanning

Oh, should this thread be merged with the "Save your eyesight" thread?   ;)

jgmaynard

Hey! You have no idea how many times that book was edited in different forms........

But yes, Lloyd, you have the "old edition" now - limited to 22 IIRC. Could really be worth something on E-Bay some day....... :D
