Who's running the gambling?

I thought it would be organic - a game would just start when enough people wanted to play. But I supposed I better organize that, too. Unless someone wants to volunteer to be poker-master!

I'll bring cards and some extra change so people can buy in, and we'll have a table, of course. I think it'll just be dealer's choice instead of an official tourney. Does anyone have a piece of felt or felt sheet or tablecloth? It's easier to deal with cards (pun intended) on cloth than on plastic. And we should have a sign or 2 and some flyers to hand out explaining what's going on.

With dealer's choice, you have to explain each game before the hand starts, and nobody understands what's going on.

I know I know... the more I speak the more likely it is people will tell me to organize it.

Jim could bring his ever popular dice game, if he is coming.

Organize it! :)

I'll happily jump in as a dealer if you have 6+ people wanting to play a game of holdem.

I'll need someone with a truck/van to come pick up my 4 folding chairs, two gazebos, and two 8' tables.  Will you have room in the van?  FMTV Nick can probably help otherwise.

Guys, I really appreciate all this volunteering and assistance, organizing the games and events, lending and transporting tables, etc. It's a huge help! Thanks.

I'll also keep my eyes open for my anti-wind card device... it can't have gone far.

Sounds good.  Can you bring them back afterwards as well?

what sort of parking issues are we going to be looking at.  could I hitch a ride from ian's place to the event and back, in the tacklevan?

You could park here, sure.  Doubt downtown parking will be problematic though.
