The Hoyt Farmhouse is hosting an afternoon barbecue and potluck to celebrate the release of Kat Canning and Lauren Canario from The Clutches of the Government! (TM Dave Ridley). Arrive anytime after high noon, and bring a dish, and/or something to grill, along with your favorite drinks. Copious amounts of salsa will be available, so bring your favorite chips for dipping.

Single geekoid nonfood types can contact me ahead of time to arrange for a catered dish to be prepared in your name. You will then be charged a reasonable cost for the purchase and preparation. Please email me off list no later than Tuesday, October 7th to plan for your dish.

Contact Russell or Teri for any questions. And get ready to welcome the amazingly brave ladies of liberty back home!

EDIT: This barbecue is on SATURDAY, 11 OCTOBER.  Sorry for the confusion, I started this post on the calendar.

I wish I could make it.
:(  I can't handle that much extra driving mid-week in between shifts.  :(

John, I'm going to ask my girlfriend her opinion on going to meet the heroines. . . if I get an affirmative on it would you like a ride?

Dude, thanks so much for that offer! I also can't afford to not be sleeping that day during those hours.
However, I WOULD CERTAINLY ECOURAGE YOU AND YOUR GIRLFRIEND TO GO. If she cares about Liberty half as much as we do, she will love meeting Kat and Lauren.

As an extra bonus to those who do get out there, the Hoyt farm is very pretty on any average day of the year; but on October 7th that precise location should be very close to 100% peak foliageOctober 11th might be better. There should be so much red, yellow, and orange around the farm that it might seem like you are surrounded by fire.
I recommend bringing cameras.

Am I the only one in the dark about where that is?

while my girlfriend wouldn't do the things that Lauren and Kat have, she cried the other night after watching one of the Youtube videos about Kat getting arrested.  She wanted to know why they were arrested. . . and what type of country we live in that someone could be arrested for standing in a public building.  I have a hard time explaining it to her, since I can't explain it myself.  I hate to say that the bureaucrats are confused or evil. . . because I hate to be told I'm confused or evil for the way I believe.  Fortunately, I can live with the fact that I don't want to harm others in any form.  Hence why I've decided not to vote this coming November. . . not even for the repeal of the income tax in MA or decriminalization in MA.  I've had it.

i feel so out of the loop...where and when, specifically?

John

Since I can't make it to Grafton this time, I'd like it if someone could fill in for me.
If anyone out there can fill in for me, please go out to the Grafton for this wonderful celebration and please enjoy the day - for me.  ;)

THE (almost) well kept secret is that on Saturday the 11th things are likely to be absolutely perfect.
The hot colors of fire, the cool Autumn New Hampshire air, and the awesome warmth of true friends - together.
Again I recommend bringing the camera.

Folks who may not get to Grafton very often (and that is most of us) Saturday, October 11th is the day! ;D

I'm really burned out on driving and Grafton is really far so I'll probably go if there's someone else going I can ride along with. I'll contribute gas money of course.
