If 'Laura'  and 'Touch Of Evil' count then I'm in as an enthusiast!

I like Neo-Noirs. But that's kinda cheating, because everything's labeled a neo-noir these days.

Not gonna do your homework!

Oh I didn't know it was something that had a definition.  I thought maybe it was the name of a movie, however I just googled the words "film noir"  and now I know.  Thank you Lloyd, I feel much more independent now!  ;D

i'm not big on most neo-noir, although there are some good ones...particularly "lost highway" and "sin city"

Those I'd consider noirs, since they are like them in almost every way but time of release. The neo-noir label is incredibly loose has been applied to pretty much any film influenced by noir. I think treating noir as a genre is a bit of a stretch in itself, even more so to consider a film noir because it is heavily influenced by that style (style, I think, might be a better classification). For example, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Goodfellas, the list goes on, are often classified as neo-noir. I've even seen The Big Lebowski listed as one.

noir is just sort of a vague term. i don't think it can really be defined, except in a sort of abstract way by fans. pulp fiction and fight club could definitely be considered modern noir...goodfellas, i don't really think so, myself.

You know it when you see it in the older films.
