Kat called in reporting that the judge compared Lauren to Carl Drega and sentenced her to the maximum sentence, 30 days in jail. She will be in Strafford County Jail. :(

I didn't hear the actual statement so I'll wait until Kat checks in, but it sounds like the judge really went beyond the pale this time.

Wow! I am shocked!  >:(

Anyone know the name of the judge? I'd like to send him a letter.

Puke

Being harassed by the gov't. That sounds similar to Drega's story.

The gun battle and murder on the other hand, does not at all sound like Lauren.

Interrogator: I am instructed to inform you that you have been convicted by special tribunal and that unless you are ready to offer your cooperation you are to be executed. Do you understand what I'm telling you?
Evey Hammond: Yes.
Interrogator: Are you ready to cooperate?
Evey Hammond: No.
Interrogator: Very well. Escort Ms. Hammond back to her cell. Arrange a detail of six men and take her out behind the chemical shed and shoot her.
Guard: It's time.
Evey Hammond: I'm ready.
Guard: Look all they want is one little piece of information, just give them something, anything.
Evey Hammond: Thank you, but I'd rather die behind the chemical sheds.
Guard: Then you have no fear any more. You're completely free.

After a bunch of you sit in jail for 30 days. Or longer. Unless your friends rescue you from the kidnappers. But I'm not allowed to say that here.

You have the address of the prison Bill... we await your help.

30 Days?  Seriously WTF!

This is an egregious abortion of justice.  I am particularly incensed about the comparison of her to a murderer.  She appeared to walk through a gateway without following instructions, and did not turn around and leave.  30 days does not fit the crime in any way.

What the hell was that Judges name?

I would guess that it was our good friend Muirhead ... who is busy protecting us from the executive branch, Ed Brown's exploding pine trees, and Carl Draga .... by putting Lauren in jail for her own safety and protection.

Kat Kanning

Judge:  Magistrate Muirhead
Jury:  none
The Drega reference:  He let Lauren say her piece at the end.  Basically what she did was go thru the checkpoint, set it off, and refuse to come back thru it or empty her pockets.  She didn't want to take her hands out of her pockets either.  So when she spoke at the end of the trial, she pointed out that no one was hurt, there was no victim.  The judge got incensed, and said a few years ago a guy came to this court and refused to show what was in his hands, and then when he was turned away, he went up north and shot a judge and a couple cops.  And that was why they NEEDED such rules.

It's all about keeping the government safe.

Exactly. Another judge got shot, so this judge was incensed or scared or whatever. So what happened was that Lauren, who broke their rules but was not dangerous or violent, was thrown in jail because the judge is scared that someone else could kill him if his rules aren't followed. At least the judge was right during his last trial for Lauren, when he said that Lauren wasn't violent but he could incite people to be violent. That time as well as this one, her peaceful actions incited the judge to be violent towards her.
