I have received some private mesages regarding the possibility that I'll be laid off this Friday. Thanks.

Don't be overly concerned. Things will work out; they always do.
First of all this is supposed to be temporary - until the beginning of next year.
This could even turn out to be a small "blessing in disguise."

Just wanted to get that out for now. More info later.

I hope it all works out for you!  :)    I know they cut my daughter's hours down so much she can't pay her car payment this month .  :-\

Yikes. I think I'm sorry to hear it, John. I know what you mean about "blessing in disguise," though - so I really hope you can make the best of whatever happens.

Friday

Sign 'o the times.  Not five minutes ago I ran into two coworkers who I wasn't expecting to see until next year.  They were working off-site full-time on a project for a very, very big company.  The project was scrapped, due to economic conditions, and they're back here looking for a new project.

I was like, "woah I didn't post this today."  I used to use that icon on another forum and thought it was mine, lol.

I know what losing a job is like in hard times.  Stay strong John.  YOU ARE NOT ALONE!
They can take our jobs, but sometimes its a blessing in disguise.  My grandad started his
business DURING the great depression and thrived.  Had the depression not happened,
he would not of been forced to go it alone, never met his unique wife, and I would of never been
here typing this in all likelihood.  Scary how that stuff pans out down the road.

Thanks :P That make my post senseless.[/quote]

Sorry, my friend, that was not my intent; +1 to you, for whatever that's worth.

if there's anything I can do John, don't hesitate to ask.  I was laid off for what I thought was going to be until January (ahhh!) thankfully enough there was a new order from Wal-Mart and they called a few of us (me included) back in to do the shirts.   I might have a job for another 4 weeks. . . as long as it gets me through my anniversary and girlfriend's birthday I'll be fine.

Christmas can wait.

in case I didn't make it clear the anniversary is with my girlfriend. . . . lol I'm not having an anniversary with my wife and then celebrating my girlfriend's birthday.
