For when you're ready for your next friend:

http://petfinder.com

(It's a handy site that searches local humane societies and rescue groups.)

Jim Johnson

I'm so sorry Joe.   Rocco was a wonderful spirit.   :'(

Lloyd Danforth

Sorry Joe.  He was a real people dog.

thanx for the kind words he just made everyday brighter for me and i will miss him immensely  and to top it all off today was his 4th birthday and i feel responsible for not watching him better and he was alot more than just a pet to me he never complained and when i said lets go he was there for me.

Jim Johnson

Are you at home or out on the road?

firecracker joe

It is a sad thing to lose a pet, just know that I am sure Rocco cherished the time he spent with you and that it is better to live one day of freedom in the light and then perish than to live 1000 years in a cage with only a window for light. You seemed to have let Rocco enjoy that light, and that is special.

Everybody loved that friendly and gentle dog.

rocco definetly lived a good life between having 100's of acres to play on when we were home and traveling around the country swimming(his favorite thing to do) never been caged rarely tied up and a owner that adored him I realize he was not a human and that might be what i liked best about him he never judged me  and showed me unconditional love  and he made lots of friends along the road I just feel responsible for giving him enough leeway to be in the road and atleast i know he didnt suffer and made no enemies I wish i could say the same for myself. One thing is for sure my life will be empty for quite awhile without that funny smile every morning. me being so upset over a dog might seem silly but having no children he was more of family than most of my siblings. guess there will be no more roxks in the truck. time heals all wounds. And i appreciate all the kind words because i know he made friends of the free staters the same as i have.
