This protes is not very bright.

I actually think it's brilliant.

QuoteThe last thing you want to do is spend hundreds on a fine and tarnish your record.

Beg your pardon, but I don't really think you know what Andrew wants to do.  I don't speak for him, but if I were in his shoes, I wouldn't be paying any "fine", and don't give a flip about THEIR "record".

QuoteNH is anti Marijuana to the point they can put you in jail for possession.

Your right I have no idea what he wants to do other than hold a marijuana protest where he would posses marijuana.
I do not know nor understand English as NH public schools have taught it to me and I can't read.

Alright, Andrew just forget about it.  Go home.  The laws are too tough to protest.  You should just keep your head down and not rock the boat.  You wouldn't want to get in trouble would you?

Andrew, It is not worth your record or your money to get caught up in the war on drugs and its endless avenues of BullShit.  Everyone even the detectives that put me away know that the war on drugs is a scam.  I saw a detective tear up when I gave em my view on the whole situation, while I sat in handcuffs and Babylon agents gathered my "contraband".  How could the detective not tear up as I talked about Prozac suicides and legal Oxycontin addicts, and how Marijuana never hurt anyone ever, except maybe that train crash where the conductor was supposedly stoned.

Perhaps Andrew you enjoy giving money to your enemy, and making yourself an easier target for future harassment from them as well.

I know people that have paid $600 in fines for possession of a stem in the Free State of New Hampshire.  For a stem Something you would not smoke or would not cook with other than a large amount for tea.    Something that decomposes and is natural to the earth.  $600 dollars.  Maybe I'm cheap, yet $600 is rent and bills for the month.

I understand its a statute and the NH constitution says etc. etc.    Of course the State, Feds, and Township have hired guns that will not follow the laws or adhere to the standards that the free state movement represents, and promotes.     I'm from Grafton Pond I've lived in NH my whole life.  I support Live free or Die, I support Liberty, Libertarian Values, The NH Constitution and I listen to FTL all the time so I am far from a  newbie on these matters..

I Just wanted to point out the dangers of this protest.  And use my 1st amendment right to voice my oppinon on it as well

The engineer of that train was also drinking beer and watching the football game. You didn't see ads blaming football for the train wreck.  ;D

PS Welcome to the underground, sorry you were a victim of the War on Marijuana People.

Considering I said "Maybe", If Marijuana is to blame for that train wreck, it still doesn't even begin to equal or compare to the number of deaths from Alcohol, Tobacco, and other drugs.  Which was in my rant to the detectives.

I have been a part of the NH underground my whole life.

600FRNs, if you're able to get the deal of 50FRN credits per day in jail, that's 12 days in jail to pay off the fine, plus whatever jail time they may give.

I understand your concern, GP4L, but I honestly feel this may be not only the ballsiest CD in recent memory, but also one of the most effective. Someone voluntarily getting arrested over nothing that society treats as important is the basis of CD...this challenges something people hold more sacred (the war on drugs) than many of the other issues CD'ers chose to question. It is not a matter of convenience to possess a plant you have no intention of using and is of no gain to the 'offender'. This is self-sacrifice at its finest.

Often overlooked is the fact the Dr Delbert J Lacefield, the toxicologist who performed the drug tests on the train crew, was later convicted of falsifying all of the tests that he performed.  That means that the law passed in response to this accident requiring drug tests for transportation employees is based on a LIE.

50 FRN a day?   12 days plus whatever time they may give you?  Ever try to get a job with a record?  How many credits is that worth?    Look I loved playing make believe when I was 10.  Unfortunately we are under martial law the judge makes the decision not the constitution not some liberty loving forum and their radio show celebrity.  Sorry!!! Im not buying all this B/S and I hope Andrew doesn't waste his time with a pointless protest that will do nothing to make marijuana legal, and may result in hurting him financially and socially.  As much we would like to think everyone is on board with citizens rights and liberty the sad truth is it is not accepted or practiced by those that truly would need to practice it to make it a reality.

And I have been in contact with Ed. Brown back when most of you never heard of him.   Ive been down with John Babiarz and the Libertarian party long before his governor races.   Hate to drop names, credentials, and XP but I want y'all to know that Ive been around the block and know the situation thoroughly.

NH's Marijuana laws suck so much I only smoke in Maine where you can have an oz and a quarter and its the equivalent of a parking ticket.
Read this about NH MJ laws.   http://norml.org/index.cfm?wtm_view=&Group_ID=4551

I'm impressed! I will definitely be there with my video camera, if the event is on a weekend. If given sufficient notice, I could be there during the week too.

I would say Good Luck, but I'm not sure that applies in an act of civil disobedience. The only way you lose is if you don't have the guts to show up and follow through. So instead of Good Luck, I wish you Good Guts!

"Ever try to get a job with a record?"

A job? Doesn't that stand for Just Over Broke? Who would want one of those? Don't they try to make you piss in a cup and take 1/3 of your earnings? Doesn't sound like what I want to do with my life. I'm not sure what's worse, 12+ days in jail, or a j-o-b.

For many people a JOB is the difference between home and the street.  Please dont be so arrogant.

You can volunteer your picture, finger prints and everything else, all because you want to say they are wrong. And then they will read the law and say you are wrong, and put a debt on your scarecrow. etc. etc. etc.  Enough from EEYORE good bye.

Everyone has to choose their battles, one cannot possibly fight them all. If I have to piss in a cup to get a job such that I can gather wealth to fight the system on a different front more effectively, I say I'm well justified in pissing in the cup, however degrading that may seem to me.

You speak too politely of Maine's laws.

Anyway, you really go all the way to Maine to get lit?  That is the craziest thing I've heard since Jesse said he was going to burn the US and NH flags on Monday.

GP4L, it's good of you to help make sure Andrew is informed of the risks he's taking. I do, however, think he's aware already and has chosen to take those risks. I'm sure he's expecting to go to jail both for the offense and to pay off the fine and is prepared to deal with potential employment ramifications. I think it will help that he can explain why he was prosecuted and that he isn't even a marijuana user. I think a lot of employers will be able to support his decision. Marijuana prohibition is dropping rapidly in popularity, like a rock really. In a few years, I expect the climate to change a lot, partly due to awareness campaigns like this.

As you wish. It's certainly not my place to judge what's best for you. I do hope however that you're planning to become a billionaire because I don't think a couple of piddling millions are gonna be any more effective than the civ dis.

is it wise to preach to the choir while pouncing on the church visitors, telling them what not to say?
