I thought his idea of giving joints to people in a bar where a good band was playing was great!  (as long as I'm in that bar)

For many people a JOB is the difference between home and the street.  Please dont be so arrogant.

Arrogance would be denying someone employment with a marijuana conviction.  I wouldn't work for scummy employers like that.

NH's Marijuana laws suck so much I only smoke in Maine where you can have an oz and a quarter and its the equivalent of a parking ticket.
Read this about NH MJ laws.   http://norml.org/index.cfm?wtm_view=&Group_ID=4551

If they didn't suck, would there be a reason to protest them?

GP4L,

I appreciate your posts warning me of the risks inherent to this protest.  However, if you look back a few pages from your first post, you will notice that I already posted a link to NORML - the very same link you posted no-less - wherein they state the potential incarceration period and monetary fine for cannabis possession.

I am well versed in the potential legal and employment ramifications of this protest and am prepared to handle them accordingly.  I didn't move all the way to NH so that I could continue to complain in a different state from my first one.  I moved to take action.  I think we should all be willing to spend a little time in prison if that's what it comes to.  What's 12 days in prison if it means opening two or three minds, or enraging two or three people against drug laws?

Speaking of which, I am thinking of conducting the protest sometime after the year has ended.  I figure January might be a nice time.  Start the new year off with a bang.

Oh.  Translation, this thing is not going to happen.

Oh, come on. It's not that far away.  :)

He's in the middle of classes right now. I don't blame him for wanting to finish out the term before (probably) going to jail. I think that's smart civil dis- knowing what the repercussions could be and being prepared for it. I recall being very impressed with David for really thinking that through and making sure his boss wouldn't fire him since he was very dependent on that job for his livelihood.

I bet 5 FRNs that it won't happen.

Wait... isn't betting illegal?  >:D

Why so negative Kat?  Preparation for possibility is important.  I intend to remain free, but if they cage me over the couch thing or freedom fest, I have been paying utilities in advance in anticipation of that potential, and will be ensuring business can continue to run in my absence.

Plus, planning out an event gives ample time to promote.

I'm not betting, though.   :P

Haha, well isn't this funny.

Don't worry, it WILL happen.
