Some of us are going to be having voluntaryist outreach efforts on election day at busy polling places in Keene. The plan is to print up some fliers to hand out (working on some now) and have signs to get attention. I'll be making a blog post soon about it with the fliers download-able and with some slogans people can make signs of; just suggestions of course. Would anyone else like the join us? If we form teams of two, we could potentially cover more polling places.

Don't choose a Master. Choose to be FREE!

Voting IN a corrupt system is voting FOR a corrupt system (That's Tim's)

If you vote, you can't complain

Please feel free to post more suggestions for signs.

Hey, it's a voluntaryist outreach after all. Passers-by should be encouraged to participate.  ;D

Tri-fold fliers have been made available on my blog. I really appreciate any constructive feedback you may want to offer.

I particularly enjoyed the "Why hasn't voting helped?" section.

I would recommend you replace non-violent with peaceful.  Better to be for something than against something.  More positive.

Also, I recommend Staples online copy center when you're ready to print (they work on Sunday): http://www.staplescopycenter.com/

That's good advice, Ian. Thanx. I also discovered a couple more common questions when I watched an hour and 20 min Stefan M. video.

I've updated the fliers. I incorporated Ian's suggestion as well as one emailed to me by a stranger to make the brochure look a little cleaner. The FAQ at the end is also a little more complete. Download the updated fliers from here.

So who's joining us in Keene? If we get 10 people, we can cover all the polls here. Who's planning to do this elsewhere? Manchester?

What time do you want to do it?  Early morning?  Noon?  5p?

I think around noon. Ideally, I'd like to be there all day but that might be a bit much. If we start around noon we'll get a lot of people voting on their lunch break and we can stay until we're tired or until it seems like traffic has tapered off. Let's meet in the square and form teams of two from there. I'll try to find out all the polling places.

Good job Dale...
Thanks for the inspiration.

I tried a little of my own don't get out the vote over on the World Affairs Board

(Funny how they are honest with their graphic that shows political=war)

Anyway, I had been getting announcement from that forum from having posted there a couple of years ago.
They sent me a invite to take a poll asking if
QuoteWhat do you plan do be voting this Tuesday, a straight or split ticket? If you decide to split your ticket, how do you plan to split it and why? Will you be voting for a Republican president and one or more Democrats on the tickets, or vice versa?

So, I took the opportunity to chime in on the thread

QuoteDon't vote it only encourages them

I am not going to vote anymore.

People will be disappointed whichever candidate they vote for.

McCain will spend like a socialist...
Obama won't get us out of the wars...

Our system is broken, I am withdrawing my consent.

Too which the reply
QuoteSince you are failing in your duty and obligation to vote, I will not listen to anything you have to say about our government.

Maybe you need to move to somewhere where you think your consent is required.

WOW! Some people have even given up the rhetoric of "by the consent of the governed"!

I strongly encourage RSVPs on the Facebook event if you are planning to attend, whether you're participating in Keene or in your hometown.
