Is anyone planning on a FIJA Outreach the morning of Firecracker Joe's trial?
http://nhunderground.com/forum/index.php?topic=10459.45#lastPost

I have some FIJA fliers that I would be willing to supply if anyone is interested. I would love to go but I have already used up my "mental health day" to do FIJA Outreach in the Keene are.

Kat Kanning

Yeah.  That's what I want to know.

When is the next FIJA and if I can wake up in time I will try to show up?

That's what I get for forgetting to check the dates of posts.

Four of us showed up at the Superior Court last Monday. We arrived late and only were able to hand out a few pamphlets. As we were getting ready to leave one of the deputies came out to inform us we weren't allowed to be there without permission. I informed him we didn't need permission as I usually do when dealing with bureaucrats.

I went inside with him to speak to the court clerk who they couldn't find for some reason. The deputy remained professional but told me we had to have permission to return. Again I told him that wasn't necessary and the few times legal action has resulted over FIJA outreach the courts have always ruled in favor of the activists.

My not wanting to beg their permission really pissed off a female deputy that told me I needed to get my facts straight. The first deputy told me as I said we'd be back again that "if we come back again without permission they'll take us down to the basement". I guess that's where the dungeon is.

I just spoke with Bill the court clerk and everything is fine. He spoke to the deputies and let them know there's no problems with our being there so I'm not anticipating any problems on Monday.

What time Monday?

It really is a dungeon down there...dripping rough stone walls.  :o

I was told the jurors have to be there by 9. Joe Skinner, his fiance and I will be arriving around 8 am just in case they are lying to throw us off.

Also Kat, there were some problems with FIJA outreach this week at the federal court building in Concord also. Didn't you used to do it there regularly?

The free parking and bus to the Federal courthouse for jurors is at Everett Arena. Maybe that would be a more convenient place to chat with them before they get on the bus.

Thanks for the tip!

Kat Kanning

No, I haven't done any FIJA stuff at the federal courthouse yet.

I think you were there last year at least once with Russell and Kira. I believe Jim and Lauren were too.  Rich A., me and Diego...Biker Bill filmed it.  Or one of us has alzheimers, probably me.   ;D

Kat Kanning

Oh yeah.

It's easier for us to get to the Concord one than the Grafton.
