these are blank quasi-antiques of varying quality... I've been sending them to Lauren and other jailed folks.

Advantages:
1) the cost is lower than you would pay at a store I think
2)  many are interesting for their quaintness
3) purchase supports libertarian commerce instead of just a store
4) all you have to do is nod at me rather than going out to find them

Disadvantages:

1) I only have about 50 with me and it may take me a couple weeks to round the rest up.
2) Some are boring...but what you write and how often you send...that's the part that counts.

I've been stocking up on such cards in anticipation of a day when we'd have a lot of political prisoners to write, although now I wish I'd gotten more.

If you run out, there are marked-down postcards at Toadstools in the blank book section. I bought some over-sized ones that need a full stamp but they have some smaller ones that you can use postcard stamps on.

Whoa, inflation!  Weren't they $.20 earlier?

Oh good I thought it was just me.

Not to undercut Dada or anything, but I paid $.23 and .24 at Walmart.

I sorta stocked up while at Toadstools. I guess I'm set for the next time Lauren or someone else ends up in prison for doing the right thing.

You are correct fine lady.

Now if you could just splain "suger pants" ?

dalebert

I'm making some muffins with Elvira's magic cookbook that we can give to the guards that will cause them to get really horny and distract them with an orgy so Lauren can escape.

I have no explanation for that one.  These things happen when he hangs out with Jesus Johnson and the gang.  There are strange goings-on going on in Grafton.  8)

Postcards are just cardstock of a certain size. Draw a line down the middle of one side and that's the address side. Cardstock isn't very expensive, but cutting it to size is. You can buy stamped blank postcards from the post office in two styles for 30 cents each ($3 for 10) http://shop.usps.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10152&storeId=10001&categoryId=11822&productId=37851&langId=-1
