1.  Making fun of my twin sister when I was a teenager.  I told her I was sorry and it was from stupid resentment towards her because my mother constantly compared us. I was the dippy, beauty and my sister was the tough, brains.  It took me years to realize it wasn't my sister's fault that my mother said the things she did.

2.  Drinking a whole bottle of Jack Daniels after my boyfriend's funeral.  Bad move, that's all I can say.

3.  Not bringing my '77 Chevy Nova to Florida with me when I moved there for 6 months. Damn it!

4.  I wish I didn't get drunk and end up in the back seat of a car with the wrong guys too many times.  It sure doesn't help a hangover the next day either!  That constant banging against the door!  :o

5.  I should have stayed in college and finished what I was there for.  ::)

I dunno

1 - I could say my AOC thing, that would be pretty obvious.  But if that never happened I may have never found the FSP & had my eyes opened.  I may still have been trying to find a way to be "one of them"

2 - Letting my college sweet heart go... man she was great & literally a model.  I know we would have had kids - but not the daughter I have now... she is the best.

3 - I could say never joining the military - again though no FSP & I would either be dead or pretty far up the ladder by now.

4 - never getting a career (commodoties trader, chemical engineer, virologist, lots of other interests)... but I have great memories from bartending, airbrushing, partying - again - I may have had kids - but not the one I have now.

Ever see that episode of Star Trek the next gen... were picard went back in time & didn't get into a fight w/some klingons & his career from that point forward led down the path of a pussy go no where officer that never really did much... It was that fight & getting stabbed that made him the man he was.

Sometime I wish I could go back - in reality what doesn't kill you makes you stronger & sometime I wonder if all this "bad" stuff is preparing me for something much bigger.

According to 4, 5 was probably very successful.   :ahoy:

I wonder the same thing alot, like what kind of a person would I be now without all of the good/bad/different experiences I went through.  Then there are those days where I dream of doing everything a whole different way but I wouldn't have the same kids I have now or grandchildren and it's not worth the thought of anything "without" them.

Believe it or not I never wanted any children and I have 5 but my reasons were two-fold.   I didn't want to bring any kids into this world because I felt it wasn't good enough for children. I also didn't want to love anyone more than I love myself because along with that comes fear of going insane if anything bad were to happen to them.   It's the constant worry, it drives me insane when I let it and I never wanted that battle. :-\  Off course I want them now that they are here and I know them.

How did I end up with 5 kids if I didn't want any?   3 out of 5 are birth control babies and the other 2 were just extremely horny moments without any thought of pregnancy.
