The grafton cop just came here.  He was looking for the little blue mazda that was at the Grafton Store last night at 8:00.  I thought he was talking about my car so I told him I was at the airport last night at that time.  But I guess he was probably talking about John.  No idea why.  He didn't like his welcome at Hoyt...Teri made him step outside when she found out he was a cop.  John told him he'd be video and audio recorded.  By the time I talked to him, he was decidedly grumpy.

Last night when I can home late there were ~6 cop cars at the Grafton Store where there are never any cops hanging out.  Most looked like county guys.

Mike Barskey

Ugh! Upcoming drama, and possibly liberty assault. Crap.

Kat Kanning

Seems like it's OK.  They wanted to ask John about someone else who was at the store.  There was a robbery or something.

Dave Ridley

i've heard good things about the grafton cop, at least the one that was in service there a couple years ago.

of course some might say the best thing about grafton cops is there is only one of them...

Dave Ridley

oh and if he actually did step outside after being let in that's pretty cool

Kat Kanning

He did step outside, and it's the same cop.  I don't see any reason to congratulate him.  If he wanted help, he could have explained why he was there and he would have actually received help.

AntonLee

robbery?  Must be one of those evil freestaters!

Kat Kanning

They didn't seem to think that.

AntonLee

I was just being sarcastic, sorry.

Good job Teri, getting the cop outside the residence.  8) :)

Lloyd Danforth

Yeah, way to go in our relations with the town.

Wow, Lloyd. Aren't you the call them pigs guy?

Dealing with Cops 101, do your talking standing on the porch. If I was a roommate in a group house I'd be pretty pissed off if someone let the cops in the house.

As to your relations with the town, I understand your place of residence is referred to as "the compound". That's what folks that don't mind burning your house to the ground call someone's homestead.

Well, what happened was that I was passing the front door and saw him walking up to the door, so I opened it up thinking it was someone coming to help out with all the renovations. Then I noticed him just standing in the foyer, so asked him who he wanted to talk to. He said, "The driver of the blue mazda parked outside." I asked him "Why?" and he wouldn't answer, just kept repeating that he wanted to talk to the driver of the mazda. Finally, sensing something off, I asked him who he was and he stated that he was from the police department. I said, "Oh, I'm sorry, can you step outside please?" At the same time, John, who had just stepped into the foyer, said "I'm going to get my camera to record this." The visitor said, "Oh, my god!" in a very disgusted tone of voice, but as I was standing there with the door open he had no choice but to exit our premises. I was very polite, and he never answered my question.

Merle is Pig lite.  He doesn't go looking for reasons to bother anybody. He is the closest thing to a Peace Officer you are going to find. He has asked a Freestater to consider replacing him when he retires.
