i think a chat room is a great idea but not sure if i type fast enough
the game rooms were also my first experience chatting online and thank god noone ever talked about poop  of course i played cribbage maybe crib is more refined  :P
I will check out the chat room  also another fun place is second life where you can listen to free talk live in a room made for free staters its pretty cool but my pc seemed to run too slow and i havent done it for fquite awhild.

Just a suggestion:  Chat rooms are most effective when you schedule a time for people to meet.  As you can see when you login, people check in, see no one there, then leave.  Try coming up with a good meetup time...
