IF the Federal government did it's main job, defend the borders against intruders, we would not have these issues.

If I had my way, I'd put the U.S. Army on the freaking border with orders to shoot anyone sneaking across.

And I'd have the Air Force returning illegals found here back to their country of origin in the back of large jets. Parachutes optional, no landing U.S. flagged military aircraft on foreign soil.

Yes US citizens use fake ID's all the time

The law was enacted for the purpose of preventing ILLEGAL ALIENS from being hired, taking work away from Americans. That was the intent, but with the advances in ID fraud, it isn't working as well as planned.

If the employer does their job, and the documents turn out to be bogus, they can say they complied with the law. If they can't provide copies of the documents they are screwed
