Ah how I love Chaos Gardening! And to do it as an act of civil disobedience would be damn quite a pleasure.  ;D

Not in NH.
Zoning in NH is by municipality... the muncipality will have a 'description' of what agricultural zoned means within the context of its ordinances. Sometimes its exclusive (listing all the things that can't be done), other times its inclusive (protecting the ability of all those things within it).
For example, an exlusive one might list that the property can not have a commercial application that is not agriculturally connected... while an inclusive one might guarantee during the ordinance being in effect that livestock may be kept.

Is there a way to look up municipality ordinances online?
Doubtful. But you could try typing in your municipality into Google. Make sure you add "NH" after as you might get several listings. If the municipality has a site it might have an index.
Other than that the easiest way is to visit the town clerk's office. They should be able to direct you to the definition and subparagraphs.

They would fall down on their asses laughing if asked questions about what you could raise or grow on your land here in Grafton ;D

In 2004 a raw food acquaintance of mine converted her useless lawn in Sacramento into a beautiful, bountiful fruit, vegy and flower garden. She got a lot of compliments from friends and neighbours. Then an "anonymous" tip led to an order from the city to destroy the garden and restore the lawn because it was out of code. This resulted in a nationwide outcry. The story was featured in various publications and on various web sites. Ultimately, the city changed its code and the garden lives on. Do a 'net search for "sacramento lawn garden karen baumann".

If the capital city of the People's Republic of California will back down imagine what rebellious gardeners in certain parts of New Hampshire can accomplish!

More like, 'What's zoning?'
