When he was elected the first African-American president of the Harvard Law Review all the other African-Americans and leftists thought that he would tip the balance to the left - he didn't.

But Obama, who this March referred to "identity politics" as "an enormous distraction," was not so easily pinned down....
Does this mean you're an Obama supporter?

Define "supporter"?

Not interested in word games, thanks.

Me mother sent me this. I can't figure out if she thought this was cute, or funny, or what... frankly, I'm afraid to ask.   :'(

There's No One As Irish as Barack O'Bama

Understanding can only come in the details.

As an anology, in my book there is no such thing as a "free market". Only more or less "freed".

So yes, in that sense, I support Obama's approach to governing more than I do Bush's.

Unfortunately, the price of empire is terrorism and the price of state capitalism via privilege is the welfare state.

Lloyd Danforth

There is zero little record of Obama's approach to governing.

That is why it is appropriate to look at how he "managed" the Harvard Law Review as president of that organization.

Russell Kanning

I support the notion that obama is a fightin irishman

This statement when he met with Republican leaders is evidence that he may not be  politically astute, much less of average intelligence.

I'm really taken aback by all the Obama-worship.  His face is everywhere; he's been merchandized like a Star Wars character.

Was it like this when JFK was first elected?  Or worse?  Somebody old(er), help me out here.

Well, sure, I'll play those games; but Merriam-Webster is boring.

Even the strip version of that game is boring.   ::)

Well the anger in the country over what has happened (Iraq & economy) is palpable. Many even in the Republican Party believe that Bush may have killed their party.

Interestingly though after many pure Keynesian stimulus package from the Republicans, Obama is pushing for much of the same and a healthy portion of "New Dealism".

I guess "we are all Keynesians now".

Are you an end the Fed/hard money advocate to address our woes?
