I pled 'Not Guilty' at my arraignment, and have a trial date of Thursday, 19 February, 9:00am at:

Milford District Court
180 Elm Street
Milford, NH 03055

After a lot of thought, a great deal of amazingly informative conversation with Ivy, Kat and Russell, I've decided to plead 'Innocent of Harming Anyone or Anything' and have chosen to not pay any fine requested. I've also decided to not accept community service as a substitute for the fine. This with the proviso that I'm more than willing to restitute my 'victim.' Kat is traveling to court with me to bring my car home on the off chance I'm invited to be a guest of the state for a few days.  ;D

Mike Barskey

Your "plea" sounds great. And your stance is principled. It's my guess that there is more than an "off chance" that they will imprison you, but I'm no expert and the government works in mysterious ways (i.e., they're inconsistent). I hope it goes well!

Kat Kanning

Seems to be the same judge Lauren had in Milford, BTW.

It turned out to be a life sentence for the judge in the comic, not me.  :)

Gutsy plans, Libertine, I'll be there to see it happen, and bring as many people as I can too.

Daien

Very amusing cartoon, TTW, albeit way too real in this neck of the woods!
I'm really touched that you're going to be there, thank you so much.

Can I ride along then?

These forums once again demonstrate the difference between peaceful Liberty Lovers whom will publicly state their intentions of no harm to anyone.  This compared to the silent, behind the scenes, government methodology of intimidation and use of violence.   More than likely those "officers of the court" who, in their new job descriptions, (I know, you are "only following orders" ) are to read and report on Liberty blogs to codify the information in an attempt to make examples of those believe in non cooperation of unjust laws.

Tom Sawyer

We will be there.

My prediction, oh please take the lesser punishment, we don't want to face the fact that we torture people into compliance.

Daien

Kat, TTW, Dale, Jesse, Tom, and Tom and Becky, thank you so much. You folks rock!
(Yeah, Barskey too, even though he won't show up.  ;) )

Jim Johnson

I'll drive Lauren, and probably Charlie, over to Milford.  :)

I love the openness of the forums.  We will not easily be accused of plotting in smoke filled rooms etc.  It also helps IMHO to keep the paranoia people may have of us down.  Many do not agree with us, but they are free to see what our aims and goals are, just by reading.
It is true the enforcers will do that also, but they will anyway, and I think the open and honest approach is better.  I do not want people to fear me, or my 'agenda', so I would to some extent prefer to control the info on me rather than the gov't by simply preempting them.   :)
Good Luck Libertine.
