Cameras disallowed because Ridley Report is not an "established media".
...
Thugs wanted to introduce Ridleo as evidence against Cynthia.

So, Thugs^A said Ridley isn't worth hearing, but Thugs^B said he is?

Interesting.  ;D

Cynthia asked the Dover cop a lot of questions.  She seemed to think there was some vendetta against freestaters going on.  Thugs wanted to introduce Ridleo as evidence against Cynthia.  The judge didn't allow it.  Her closing argument was sounding real interesting, but then the prosecutor objected to it and now she has 3 weeks to submit it in writing.  There should be a ruling in ~3 weeks + 10 days.

That's the bare bones of it.

I've never heard of an objection being made much less accepted in an opening or closing argument.  This could be actionable.

Josh

Sounds like the prosecutor/judge just didn't want that particular argument made in front of the rest of the herd.

There are many reasons why someone would, and could, object during opening or closing arguments. In fact, failure to object may waive certain rights, see this case which states:

Quote"This court will not entertain objections that were not raised during the proceedings below. We have specifically held that a criminal defendant's failure to object to allegedly prejudicial statements in a prosecutor's opening or closing argument precludes consideration of the issue on appeal." State v. Wong, 138 N.H. 56, 66, 635 A.2d 470, 476-77 (1993)

Well, don't take my  word on this one...I didn't understand what was happening.  Because of the content of what she was saying, it had to be submitted as some special thing - I don't know what it was.

I meant to post last night, but ran out of time. I actually do have a recording of the trial, quality is okay, I was going to make a funny movie with editing, we'll see.........

Yes, judge admitted that Manch District court camera ruling may be right and he may be wrong, but he still objected. After berating him for a while on it, I forgot to ask him why they aren't allowed, i.e. what are they afraid of. He kept hammering the point of established media, then switched to the emphasis that he wasn't convinced that said person was w/established media. We need to focus on the idea of that it shouldn't matter whether or not it is media(I tried, but didn't result in anything, obviously).

I did ask the cop a lot of questions - he certainly contradicted himself a few times and made conflicting statements, and couldn't seem to remember key details. Maybe if he pulled over less people his memory wouldn't be so chock full of victims and irrelevant details. The cop did not seem to be enjoying himself, though I believe the judge was somewhat enjoying it; certainly it was a lot more entertaining than the first hour in the courtroom which was filled with a dozen cases that basically reduced the judge to an accountant, transferring dollars into hours, hours in jail to reduced fines to hours of service... it was all so pathetic to watch.
Basically they herded everyone out of there so they wouldn't witness our charade.

Ivy helped me out a lot. Initially, the prosecutor came over and tried to bully her into sitting down(was he under the impression that it was HIS courtroom and he was capable of calling the shots?.. pretty arrogant), but she shut him up pretty quickly, then, w/ egg all over his face, he informed me that they'd be showing me a you tube with me as the star. I am quite surprised that he actually thought the judge would let him show that. It was rather silly. If I could have had video with him informing me of his intentions, followed by the lengthy computer/projector set-up of his "tech guy" then followed by the judges, "ah, no way am I going to allow it." Priceless. Almost as priceless as when I had the cop stand up and sketch for all of us, and explain how he can manage a u-turn in the middle of a busy, narrow street, while pecking away at his computer while not actually driving into my jeep. i should have insisted on scale, as he kept admitting that it wasn't to.  Little paper cars would have been a nice addition.

We were able to file a few motions and pretty well-place objections. We brought up double jeopardy, as the paperwork had been botched, due process, the right to travel, a few different articles of the NH constitution...

Oh, and I even had my adorable daughter on the stand. The contrast of this angelic creature against this system of tyranny was obvious to everyone.

It is just SO OBVIOUS that if 5% of the court cases were to attempt even a quarter of what I did, the system as it is, would crash. So, alongside jury nullification activism at the courtroom, how about showing up once a week and giving 5 minute tutorials and handouts to various victims in the courts about "extending" their trials. It would benefit them, as well, as some of the cases would inevitably be thrown out.

So, judge took case under advisement. I suppose he could dismiss if he doesn't want me and us in his courtroom again. I will also be presenting the prosecutor will an inordinate amount of reading material of which he has a week to respond to. I am guessing he may want to spend his time doing more interesting things.

All for 6 hours of community service.

When will they learn to stop pursuing victimless crimes.............?

I would guess most people were taking a deal ... so they couldn't string things out.
Imagine if everyone had their kids testify?
If lots of us did this ... they might just shut down many arguments.

"established media" ?  Hmmm.  Time to ask the court people some polite questions I think.

Is there a list of established media your honor ?  What does one do to become "established" ? How does one become established if one is not allowed to report on things? Does the government automatically let you know when you become established?  Is there a government form to fill out or licenses to buy to become established your honor? How much does it cost to become established? Have RSA's been established to uh become established? If my established media company is failing can I get some economic stimulus money?

(By now you might be in handcuffs...but if you're not, continue asking questions as the goons approach you.)

Does this court support a monopoly of news by the established media as determined by government officials?  When that happens in other countries we refer to that as propaganda...do you support government propaganda your honor?
Do "established media" types have more freedom of the press? Are they more equal your honor?  How does this affect my 1st amendment rights ?

I may be seeking to amend my Grafton Gazette press pass to include the words "established media" .  Then I'll be more equal too.   ;D

One of ridley's court room videos has 23,333 views on a single youtube video... How many views do need to become "established?"

That's a good idea and while you're at it, how about having a 100 press passes made so all the supporters can be "established" reporters!  (and Nice question roll there!)

And to Cynthia and Us, great job of taking on the Thuugs in Dover!    :icon_pirat:
