Sorry, I can't embed a youtube video or I would.   I had the hang of it a few months ago but it just doesn't work for me anymore.  :-\

So... I don't like war. I understand why someone else who doesn't like war would post this...

But with FTL's recurrence of Scott the Bigot, I have to ask...

Why does the world sit up and take notice when Isreali Statists spout Statist nonsense, but when other Statists do it, nobody seems to care?

I don't understand what you referring to specifically in the world sit up and take notice with Israeli Statists, and when other's do it nobody cares?

Maybe referring to the fact that a bunch of groups like the CFL have said we need to nuclear bomb Iran for years and nobody cares that I president was part of that group?

Gaza – Ma'an – Israel attacks on Gaza escalated starting Sunday evening after two Israeli soldiers were injured by Palestinian projectile fire near the Strip.

The latest Israeli fire killed one and injured two An-Nasser Salah Ad-Din fighters in a car near Rafah on Monday afternoon.

The men were in an unmarked car and were transferred to Abu Yousef An-Najjar hospital for treatment, said Head of Ambulance and Emergency Services Muawiya Hassanain. He also identified the deceased as 27-year-old Ayman Abu Jazar.

Following the attack the An-Nasser brigades launched five homemade projectiles at Kerem Shalom crossing in the southern Gaza Strip, and sent a statement saying the attacks were the result of the Israeli killing of their fighter.

Earlier Monday Israeli sources said three mortar shells landed is the Eshkol area of southern Israel, no injuries were reported.

Overnight Sunday Israeli aircraft targeted the Rafah-tunnel system beside Egypt, and shelled four sites including the de facto government police headquarters and three other sites in Rafah.

Gaza residents in As-Salam and Al-Barazil neighborhoods received phone calls playing recorded messages from Israel telling them to evacuate their homes, particularly those close to the tunnels.

Despite the escalation students were in classes and workers at their posts, but many fear a large-scale Israeli assault in the coming hours.

I don't really care if he supports blowing up people in Afghanistan or Iran or Chicago. I dislike blowing people up. It's old news that he's been an advocate of blowing people up. Hail to the new chief, same as the old chief.

I didn't mean to imply anything with the "Scott the Bigot" comment. It's just that a question is sitting on my mind since that whole little thing. There's a term "Zionist" for Israeli Statists. Yet there's nothing particulalry special about "Zionists" aside from liking one State over another... Yet we don't call the Neocons the "Yankists" for supporting the growth of the American State. It might have been slighly off topic, but it was brought to mind, and I posed the question. Why DO people seem to take more notice of Israeli statism than statism of other brands?

I suppose for the same reason people pay more attention to the bully with the gun than the bully with a stick.  If both have bad intentions, which are you more worried about?
Kind of related, and article by Fred Reed on Lew Rockwell about the situation Isreal is boxing themself in.  It is very unfortunate for the Isreali and Palestinian civilians caught up in this huge mess.   :'(
