those are really cool, anton!

I remembered  the other 2 charges against mike - they say he didn't register his car and didn't get a NH driver's license.

Mike also asked if he there was an earlier courtdate available and the judge said there wasn't.  I wonder if Teri and Mike could arrange with the court to trade courtdates.

Just catching up with the posts after being out all day. Kat, this is why I love you, you're a genius! I'll call the court tomorrow and suggest just that. Putting my own court date off is no problem. Mine is currently 2/19, and I'm absolutely sure the powers that be will truly appreciate the aloha spirit and generosity of switching with a friend, dontcha think? I'm in Chicago at the moment, and if I don't get any good answers over the phone, I'll go straight to the court when it opens on Monday, February 9th to make the request in person of the judge.

When I first heard TTW's porc411 this morning, I thought she said FEB 12, not March 12th. When I read the posts and realized it was over a month away, I was chilled to the bone. These people are completely fucked up, and they've got the power. For a moment, I contemplated abandoning my position at my own court date . . . and because I allowed myself the space to give in, my resolve solidified and I'm clear. There is no way I'm giving in to the tyranny. I keep thinking of the conversations Mike and I had about him being arrested, and his doubts about how he would handle himself. It sounds from the posts and Porcs that he's doing exactly what he hoped he would do; not cave. I know that the solidarity of support we all give each other helps to create strength while alone and faced with the system, and the brutes that are part of it. My admiration for those that have been standing up to the machine and the thugs is growing exponentially day by day.

Now Russell, you gotta keep my room for me, okay?  :D

I guess we will find out what Mike is thinking if he writes out or someone can visit him. We will soon find out what condition he is in at the jail and how we can communicate with him.
Sounds like the government might be revving up to keep him for a while. I am sure that prosecuter would like to get him on tons of charges and teach him to obey them.

I'm wondering if Mike would mind if we bailed him out... I was going to put $100 into one of the activist funds, but if Mike wants to be bailed out, I'll put up $200 toward that.
I'm @ work right now, but I'll keep checking the posts here...

I think I speak for him accurately in that he would not want to be bailed out.

Yeah, that's what I figured. I'll put the $$ in the fund. He can use it for candy bars :)

I was thinking about this earlier today. I'm going to miss his presence at all the activism and social events. They couldn't have locked up a nicer guy.  :'(

Candy bars and a shitload of junk food . . . one of the things he said about a week before was that the good thing about being in jail was that he'd lose the weight he'd put on recently.  >:D
