Thanks Kat and libertine.

Can I suggest a mail-to-jail.com link in the forum's banner?

Libertine:  Can I ask you to send him today's anarchyinyourhead?

Sorry, Dan, just saw this. What day did you want sent?

VDO of some of today's events.
The press is denied entrance to the courthouse.
Lauren is ejected from the courthouse.
Spectator reaction to the arrests of Jesse and Charlie.
Report of the judges decisions.

I think I speak for him accurately in that he would not want to be bailed out.

That sounds accurate. It would be pointless anyway because he's already said he refuses to do two parts of the processing and the judge said that would be a requirement for bail.

I took some VDO myself but it's mostly crap. A lot of it was me just having the camera on and ready when I saw police in case they decided to hassle us. That way it wouldn't look like I pulled it just for them.  >:D

Laur has put together some "Free Barskey" things at http://armorforactivists.com

Thanks--it was a rush job. I'll make a better one soon.
I was more focused on just getting the story and a visual out there.

...He can make phone calls and write letters without complete booking. The money can be put for his commissary by appearing at the jail in person or by calling 888-288-9879 or visiting http://pcsdailydial.com/

I just realized I gave you wrong/misleading information, which you've all probably figured out by now. The money can be put for his commissary by appearing at the jail in person (not sure of other ways). However, the phone number and the web site I provided is for collect phone calls that you will be paying for in advance. My sincere apologies.

Unsurprisingly, the entire ordeal with me and Charlie involved our hats. Yes, people, a singular inoffensive article of clothing.

It's funny too-- when I was being dragged off by the police, the cop had the nerve to say "You're only hurting yourself here". I told him I hadn't realized this was all self-inflicted.

"So cop, if I'm the masochist what does that make you?"

Just a few clarifications regarding the Mail to Jail.

  • There are two drop down choices for Mike Barskey. No matter which one you pick, your letter will go through. No need to send the same letter twice.
  • Please include your name, nickname, whatever you wish, so Mike knows who the letter is from (whoever wrote those two letters wondering about two drop down choices, please let me know your nick/name)
  • As you probably know, Mike loves jokes. If you decide to write him a letter, perhaps you may want to include something related to the Family Guy (especially Brian), Pen & Teller: Bullshit!, Scrubs. I'm sure that will "bring light to him during his dark days in jail" :)
  • You're welcome to leave any suggestions on the site or im me here.

Thanks to all of you who wrote him a letter.

Please note:
From Hillsborough County Corrections' web site:
"MAIL - all incoming mail is screened and censored (legal mail excluded). After processing, all mail is routed to the inmates respective housing unit. Unauthorized mail is returned to the sender with a letter of explanation."

Libertine is on the road.  It'd be much easier if one of us did it.  In fact, I can print it this morning and send it.

Lauren showed that with this government .... you have the right to remain silent ... if you don't mind waiting in a cell.
Barskey has shown that you are innocent until proven guilty ... you just have to wait in their cell til they are done with you
also ... you have the right to reasonable bail .... as long as you do everything they say and promise to do so into the future.

Puke

You should have a shirt that says something like-

"Free the Barskey!"
or
"Barskey is not an animal to be put in a cage!"

His last name just works for that kind of stuff. It might get people curious about the Barskey.

Tom Sawyer

Postcard I'm sending, hope he gets a smile out of it... and the screws are perplexed by it.
