I'd like to respond to Mike's statement "I'm not proud of it."

Fuck that man, you did what you had to.
I do not think what you did is at all a failure. I don't blame anyone for not wanting to spend time in a cage.

Good job, time for your brass balls perhaps?

None of us are proud that the government took your from your home and put you in a cage.  You did more than most... and showed the state for what it was when 2 people were arrested for hats at your arraignment.

Don't apologize because the government raped you of your freedom. It's not your fault you are a victim. The Only Person Who Responsible For Your Assault Is The Perpetrator.

You have been assaulted, no matter what you did, or did not do, in any case It Is Not Your Fault.

KUDOS Mike, we're glad you're free and safe

There are a couple of comments implying that some of us put Jesse and Charlie up to the hat thing. It's ridiculous, of course. I recall Jesse mentioning that he might do that in the car ride over, and while I don't think I argued with him openly, I'm pretty sure I got that stressed look on my face and shrugged and I certainly didn't encourage it.

My point is we all have to do what we're internally motivated to do. We shouldn't be pressuring people to go to jail. We each have to pick our battles. We have to weigh the choices, the potential gains vs. the potential cost, the risks, etc. I don't think anyone's got any business judging you for not wanting to stay in jail. Well, maybe Lauren, but... Anyway, I don't think anyone has any notion in their heads to judge you but if they did I'd go beat it out of them.  ;)

P.S. I hope no one has any notions because I can't fight worth a crap.

That's a good point ThinkLiberty; no one feels bad about handing over their wallet to a mugger with a  gun in their face.

You're a victim, that's all.

Of course they implied that, those people think everyone needs to be told what they can and cannot do. In their mind anyone that does something other than what the government tells them, is obviously "put up to it." Why else would they do it?  :barf:

Welcome back Mike, did you sign "under duress" on the bail form?

firecracker joe

:) welcome home mike sometimes it is better to swallow your pride rather than swallowing that shitty meat sandwich you get for sunday dinner. You can accomplish alot more on the outside and its way to boring on the inside.

The Dude: It's uh... uh... it's down there somewhere, let me take another look.

Welcome back Lebarskey.  :)

My feeling is that Mike is a productive guy and he serves himself more being in the outside free(relative) world to make money and enjoy himself. Also, being in jail does cost the taxpayers money, so.............  I feel that is another good reason. Alternatively, him posting bail produces a situation whereby they now have playmoney, and may use what they want to apply to any of his "crimes".

All they want is your money and obedience.

Anyways, I am SO glad the Salsa man is out, cookies are on the way..(fuck your iron-bar-cage-diet)

Hey Barskey, I played "Time" at Harlow's tonight for your time served :icon_pirat:

Mike,

You're still not eligible for the Barsky award! Glad you're out, and I moved from Little Minnesota to Concord. So let's reschedule lunch, ok?

I like it whenever I see a porc411 from the old 760 area code. My home boy is up to something.

You might be disappointed Mike, but they only got a little money and a little cooperation from you. They didn't win and the system is not satisfied with your behavior ... that prosecuter will want more blood.

as a senior member of the  brass balls committee ... you might have only earned half a pair so far (Im like the '72 Dolphins who pop champagne every time a team finally goes down)

dalebert

Only one brass ball? He'll be lop-sided!
