Several people have posted to the forum over time in order to voice criticism of Murphy's Taproom about things that have gone wrong, so I thought it would be appropriate to do the opposite.

I'd like to commend Keith for keeping his word about letting Bill & Ivy come back to the Taproom last night. For those who don't know, Keith had said she could come back as long as Kate M. was all right with it, and over the past couple weeks Bill D. & Gail were able to get things straightened out between Kate and Keith.

So we all went over to the Taproom together last night, and, despite the fact that the expected group of people stormed out in a huff (rumor was that they were actually going to cause a major scene—fortunately this didn't happen), Keith didn't go back on what he'd told us.

So again, thank you, Keith.

I reserve judgement forever and always. I'm a fan of people in how they relate to me, not how they relate to others.

I'm glad Keith kept his word!

Mr. Dean

I understand your desire to be fair, and I commend your heart. But think, does it make sense, if someone is a known murderer, to say: I'm a fan of people in how they relate to me, not how they relate to others? No, because the way they relate to others, is lethal. She has not pissed people off, or gone against "the crowd", it's not like that. She HURTS people. This is spanning so long a period, many many many people have been conned by her. I didn't post this because I am a mean lady, I posted it because she really does victimize people. I've said nothing of this for more than a year....but she is still up to her old tricks. She jsut moves a little further down the road each time. On and on. I wish I were wrong about her, but it's not about me, I cut off communiation with her a long time ago. She doesn't care about that, or anyone else she hurts, for that matter. She's all about the NEXT thing.

I do not know you, but I am assuming you are a nice guy, it is for that reason that I put forth this wish: That you never sleep with her, that you never have anything she wants, and that she never hurts you in such a way as to cause you to rethink your view of her. I really, sincerely hope that. I just want her to stop taking from people because this life is hard enough...people really think she needs help, then they help her, then they wish they hadn't. NICE people. People you would like, people YOU would never want to see hurt or stolen from.  :_storm__by_clairebearer:

Good luck to you and, just, be careful. Really listen when she talks and make note of things that sound strange...just, store them away in your head, don't forget them or shake them off. Just really listen.  :icon_pirat:

wow that's a whole lot about someone I know nothing about personally.  I've not even had a taco there.

~ A KNOWN thief. KNOWN. CONFIRMED. THIEF.

If you believe the IRS is an organization of thieves, you MUST find this woman's inability to come by anything honestly repulsive. She steals. Big things, small things....from friends and unsuspecting, honest, hard working people alike. She has thieved recently, less recently...this is habit. She will steal your money, she will steal things you have that she wants, if she needs money, she will steal your things and then sell them, she really doesn't mind taking.
RattyDog, could you be more specific?  That's a very serious, yet vague, accusation.  I have no reason to suspect you of making it up, but then again, I have never heard anyone say Ivy stole from them, so I really don't know where this is coming from.

leetninja

all of that was about ivy!?

Porcupine_in_MA

Nice turning Jeremy's positive thread into a negative one. Sounds like a lot of hysterical, vague accusations to me.

Could you share the evidence that confirms this?

Granted, I did not know Ivy well prior to the incident with Bill & Kate, but Kate expressly asked that they not be ostracized, so after that point my wife and I went out of our way to be friendly towards them and invite them when we had gatherings.  Bill and Kate have been our friends for a number of years, and Ivy has since become a friend.  In all that time, I can't seem to recall anything going missing.

So, given that my experience has been quite to the contrary, I'd be rather interested in learning of this confirming evidence.

Quote from: RattyDog on February 12, 2009, 11:19 AM NHFTHer list of lies is long and CONTINUES to grow (she does not have cancer (cervical OR ovarian) BTW, she continues to tell that one)....

I'm also quite curious precisely how you came by her medical records.

Quote from: RattyDog on February 12, 2009, 11:19 AM NHFTShe was friends with Kate, FRIENDS, when she decided that it was okay to start messing around with "her eagle" (it makes me sick just thinking about the way she calls him that.)

Personally, I'm just going to have to go with Kate's opinion on this matter.  Maybe I'm just crazy like that, but Kate was the one who was actually harmed, and if she feels that their apologies constitute sufficient restitution for the harm she suffered, then I'm not exactly going to presume that I know better than her on that matter.

Quote from: RattyDog on February 12, 2009, 11:19 AM NHFTI feel for her son, seriously.

Having seen her son recently, and speaking as a parent, I can assure you that he certainly appears to be a happy, healthy, well-adjusted child.

I'm sure Ivy appreciates your concern over his well-being, and will be glad to know that you can rest easy on that count, now.

In any case, as I've said before, Bill and Ivy made some bad choices which hurt Kate.  They apologized and, last I checked, Kate had accepted that and expressly asked everyone to move on with their lives.  Personally, since Kate has been a friend for a number of years, and I happen to think highly of her judgment, I'm inclined to believe that she is competent to make that determination, and move on with life.  Life is too short to spend it creating drama where none needs to exist, and too long to spend it on petty nonsense.

And, as I posted elsewhere on the same subject:

I have not had much time to visit Manchester in the past year or so, with how busy life has been, but I appreciate that Keith was willing to trust Kate's judgment on this matter.  Personally, I think that rewarding positive actions is far more important than punishing negative ones, and I will make sure to go out of my way to patronize his establishment at some point in the near future, even if it is not convenient to my schedule.
