There will be signs to direct you.
Hopefully not taped to the walls of the hotel corridors, in violation of the hotel's policies, like last year.
is the liberty forum frustrated with the altexpo or anything?
I can't speak for the Liberty Forum, only for myself.  However, my response turned into such a rant, much of which isn't necessarily directed at AltExpo, that I'm going to post it in a different thread so as not to hijack this one.

The Energy Alternatives talk this morning had about 25 attenders and Mark did a great job covering all the bases.

Russell just finished his Welcome to the Shire and computer security is the next topic.

If you want to view the talks live on the web, go to http://qik.com/yadravoat

John

Wish I was there! Thanks for the link.

It's dead silence here without your guitar!

Well, actually, we've had to close the door to keep the joyfull noise down. We're down at the end of a long hall, but apparently the sound shoots all the way down the hall  :-[ oops.

Today's sessions went great and Tim was awesome with his trike and videos. He brought the trike into our show-and-tell area and just an hour ago was seen trying to see how much speed he could get up going down the parking ramp!

Mark Weissflog gave a breathless tour through the energy alternatives in New-Hampshire. Not good prospects for cost-effective wind power, though...

J'raxis gave a great overview of computer security issues and has committed to do a full day session before too long where you bring your own computer and he'll guide you through upgrading your own software to make your computing more safe and secure.

The PiMP was here! They busted out the walls with people wanting to observe and participate in being "stopped by the cops".

Good day was had by all.

Another full day tomorrow!

jaqeboy

barterer is here polishing up his presentation for tomorrow and we had a brainstorming session with a couple of people who are are going to participate in a Shire Hours training video which'll be online sometime in the spring...

Ah, another fine morning in the AltExpo cave (no windows in our suite).

The original concept was open breakfast at 9 AM, but you might have to step over some sleeping crashers  ;D.

jaqeboy

OK, now breakfast is served. Yes, we have tea and crumpets! Also dual coffee pots brewing Café Libre (organic Mexican coffee)

Jack you #*&% Ow my face!  Oh wait, I don't care :drunken_smilie:

Today was awesome.  Great talking to everyone!

Russell Kanning

no way I could keep up with you guys .... 3 4 am?

jaqeboy

Uh, yeah.... must sleeeepppp....

It was a great Expo! Met lots of new folken and got more of our presenters onto the idea of creating their web page on our site. Also, we had some live broadcasts of the presentations. Will set up a page with all the links soon.

Lloyd Danforth

Thank you and yorn for doing AE Jack!

jaqeboy

Thanks, Lloyd, it was great seeing you there at the talks and the parties!  ;)

I know you were there in spirit! But, I think we are building a brand, ie, people are beginning to see that we'll search out and invite a bunch of the folk that they want to hear. In fact, we invited Stefan before, but due to budget constraints, ie zero budget, he declined.

And, In case you haven't had enough....

The indefatigable Kevin Innes invites you to meet him at Murphy's at 3:30 PM today to join him in a Community Action Network on-the-street training - How to promote use of "community acting currency" among the merchant community. We'll show them that if they want more customers, we'll steer people from our network their way, as long as they're using honest money (usu. silver, copper, gold, Shire Hours, etc.)

Kevin's an awesome trainer, and this session will be well worth anyone's while to observe the master at work.

Also, we're promoting attendance by these same people at a workshop this evening at the Great Buffet on South Willow Street at 7PM - come at least a half hour earlier to get your buffet dinner. We'll be in the party room to the left of the lobby. (I'll start a separate thread for these efforts).

Russell Kanning

disclaimer to any of my friends ... I found Kevin Innes to be semi-interesting, but also very pushy/annoying. But maybe you might love him. :)

I really liked the Shire Hours talk. PiMP was enjoyed by the packed crowd.

Jack did a good job of hosting. I look  forward to the altexpo activities at burning porcupine, where we will lots of room. ;)
