Got the go ahead from Rogers to Light the Horseshoe Pits for an Unofficial Horseshoe Tournament I'm planning for Wednesday Eve.

Thursday eve, if anyone wants a break from all the Liberty Stuph, there's a Program (free for NH Residents, out of state Adults $7, kid's are $3 (5 & under free) put on at the Park, next to the campground, at 7pm.  The Program topic is what life was like in North Country of NH.

Fluff and Stuff

Link to the program?  If you are talking about the park with the fire tower, it is like 15 minutes away.

Here's the link:   http://www.nhparks.state.nh.us/state-parks/alphabetical-order/john-wingate-weeks-historic-site/

They haven't officially announced the Exact program yet but the theme is Life in Northern New Hampshire (this would be Pre Internet) .

Yeah, there are great views from that tower.  The reason it took me so long to get there in 2006 is because the road up/down the mountain is a one lane road and I had to drive real slow and pull off the road driving up the mountain.

Weeks State Park? It's about 3 miles if you have one of Lloyd's NH Atlas and Gazetteer, or good google-map fu. Add a couple of miles if you follow the main routes.

Or if you feel like an overland trek, it's easily accessible from Roger's Campground (assuming you don't mind blazing your own trail):

(That's the view of Mt. Prospect, home of the Weeks site, from my camp site in 2006.)

Nice Picture!  Yours is better than the Rogers websites' pics, at illustrating at exactly what Rogers looks like and how nice it is.  (do you by chance have a few more pics you could share? if so, it would be greatly appreciated!).

Fluff and Stuff

Don't forget to check the FSP website for pics.  Also, if you have pics you want put up there, let me know.

After Jesse mentioned the Softball playing, it just hit me that it's very likely there would be interest in Playing a Game of Softball @ PorcFest under Moon Light / Just Kidding!.

If you think the above is true and would like to propose a day/time for a Game, then please do!  Something that will also be in play at PorcFest is the Giant Bulletin Board (corkboard) that people can post messages/notices/things to do on so a sign up sheet for the game(s)? could be posted on site.

(We only need 17 more to Strike Up a Game)
