To answer the original question, yes. I'm running for the planning board.  Why? Because even though I don't think we need a planning board...there is one presently.  What will I do if I win? Not much. I don't "plan" to tell anyone what to do with their property.  It's THEIR property. I plan to occupy a bureaucrats seat so a bureaucrat can't. I see that as an incremental gain for liberty.  Now hold on anarchist smarty pants types...before I am dismissed as a statist, many of you know, I support civil disobedience, it is a good way to show people that  victimless crime laws are unjust etc.  I also support political activism to reduce government. From my perspective, it's all good if it promotes freedom. If I had a magic wand I would wave it and we'd have a voluntary society, unfortunately I don't have a magic wand, neither do any of you.  Until one is found I'm for using all methods to bring about "change".  (sorry couldn't resist)

If elected I promise not to let the power go to my head and run for EMPEROR or anything like that...honest.  For those who don't vote...cool. For those who do, I'd appreciate it if you'd vote for me and Rosalie B. for the planning board.

+1

Can't talk politics here!

Dreepa changed his avatar to a Lenin picture, probably because someone called him a statist. :(

What a bunch of crap. Everything on this site is "politics."

But, I digress, I do remember this place being the hotbed of anarchist civil disobedience. Oh well, it's good to know there's one candidate trying to end that zoning board by being ON the zoning board :)

Lloyd Danforth

Two!  But you can't vote for them because you moved to the wrong town!

AND...zoning and planning are two different boards. Just helpin' you learn the lingo.
