Poor Brooke, is she frozen?
I don't know, but I'm sure Will's feet didn't warm the sheets any after that polar bear plunge on New Year's Eve!!   :noway:

Burning bureaucrats to keep warm, it's the Shire way.
shhhh ... nobody has been missing them so far

Man I hope you really wait till their good
and dry before you burn them.
Or you get that awful smell of burning bull shit.

John

If it wasn't quite ready to burn we put it on the "rack."
Nothing - for the ENTIRE season - was burned which nature had not "wanted" to be used.
We were/are quite clean/green over here.

It's just not an equinox celebration without a bonfire and dancing!

will you be dancing in hip waders while you collect the wood?

Russell Kanning

so the sun just cleared the trees fully at 6:30 Shire time here in the middle of Hobbiton .... we are half way to full sun  for the year :)

Lloyd Danforth

Few more minutes!  Spring will be here!  Go out and start the garden!

Ha, ha, good point, Russel... it is rather wet and slooshy out there. Plus, I have been rather princess-like in my aversion to wood-gathering this winter, preferring instead to let the men be real woodsmen!

I think the first day of spring in the Shire means mud, maybe snow ... and gardening in 2 months. ;)
