Who ya gonna call?

OK, I had this goofy idea yesterday:  do a little commercial with the ghostbusters song...

If there's something strange
In the neighborhood
Who ya gonna call....Freestaters!
(Then something about eminent domain)

The other stanzas could have other stuff about government abusing people.  And I was thinking the video could either have pictures or video of us from various times we were trying to help people, like Lauren in New London, or the dover thing where they were trying to throw the old woman out of her home.

I don't have the skills for either the lyrics or the video creation, but thought I'd throw out the idea in case anyone liked it and wanted to run with it.

That is a great idea.... there could be a bunch of them for different situations that could be used as a video reply to police abuse, drug busts, supporting war... (every type of government abuse) on you tube.

If done well it could really put the free staters on the map.

Here is a quick stupid concept video http://www.xtranormal.com/watch?e=20090308134943569

You can make a bunch of videos really easy on the above site... the above movie took 5 minutes to create.

We could recreate things that happen in the court room with it... like tackle the state getting jail time for remaining silent...

I have about twenty songs on hand, some as complete as they ever are (I'm constantly tinkering), some just a few lines in a notebook.  Let's pool our talent and get going on it!

Oh, and in response to your idea:

If you're in your car
And the blue lights flash
Who's yer 4-1-1?*
FREE STATERS

If you've just moved in,
And need space to crash
Who's yer 4-1-1?
FREE STATERS

I'm not a slave to their laws!
I'm not a slave to their laws!

If you're smoking weed
And you're paranoid
Who's yer 4-1-1?
FREE STATERS

If there's FICA forms
That you can't avoid
Who's yer 4-1-1?
FREE STATERS

If the law's transgressed
And you feel oppressed,
Who's yer 4-1-1?
FREE STATERS

If you've had enough
Of that statist stuff
Dial that phone--
FREE STATERS

When you hear the midnight knock,
Don't be a member of the flock
Get 'em on the phone--
FREE STATERS

That should get things started!

I came up with an acoustic campfire version of Sam's song

Chords above the line are strum to the beat of the song...

D
If you're in your car
G
And the blue lights flash
A
Who's yer 4-1-1?*
D
FREE STATERS

D
If you've just moved in,
G
And need space to crash
A
Who's yer 4-1-1?
D
FREE STATERS

(strum really fast)
DGDGDGCAAA

I'm not a slave to their laws!

DGDGDGCAAA

I'm not a slave to their laws!

Then the same chords are used from above for the rest of the song
D
G
A
D
