Sam A. Robrin

COG just asked me to caution anyone wishing to participate in this month's FIJA Outreach program that He just phoned the courthouse, and had a conversation approximately like this:

COG:  "Will there be jury selection as usual this Monday?"
Nameless Bureaucrat:  "Yes.   Does this concern FIJA outreach?"
COG:  "It does."
NB:  "Will this be held outside?"
COG: "Yes.  Is there a problem with that?"
NB:  "I'm not at liberty to say."

Insignificant?  Portentous?  Anyone with inside information, or the knowhow to acquire it?

This is at the Keene Superior Court if there's any confusion.

This might be a good time to get additional volunteers from outside of Keene if possible.

Will they call it Jury Tampering?

They wouldn't want anyone brainwashing jurors with any of that liberty bullshit. We love the iron fist of the state, jurors should feel proud when they get to rip freedom away from unwanted citizens. It's not like they were a real person that loves America. It's your civil duty! Don't let them put stupid questions in your head!

Yes! We CAN! Yes! We CAN!

Kira and I can come.

I don't want to discourage you, but knowing you have a lengthy trip, I feel you should know there will likely be a good amount of Keeniacs there and there's still the chance they will do nothing.  If not, the activism only lasts 45 minutes max anyway.  If you still feel it's worth the drive, we'd love to have you.

COG

A big thank you to Sam A. Robrin for starting this post.

A little bit of clarification as to how the conversation went:

Me:  "Will there be jury selection this coming Monday?"
Female Bureaucrat:  "Yes. Will you be standing outside?"
Me: "We will be. Is there an issue with that?"
FB: "I can't say"
Me: OK

I do not know if they have something in store for us or if she was just trying to intimidate us into not showing up.
Either way, I'll be there with my camcorder & FIJA pamphlets in hand.

.... and there's still the chance they will do nothing.

I initially thought the worst when I got off the phone with them, but given the time to think about it, I would not be surprised if she just said that in an attempt to scare us away.
