Aaron Aldridge, one of the morning guys on WNTK, the Upper Vally's Talk Powerhouse, left for work Monday morning at 4am and hasn't been seen since.
This guy never missed an opportunity to Dis the Browns.  He was always going on about being an ex cop, perfect father, perfect family.  The guy made me sick until I stopped listening.
Lets keep a good thought and hope he is somewhere ruing his 'perfect' life.

Jim Johnson

Anyone who goes on about being a perfect father with a perfect family is just trying to convince himself.
He has family who hate him as well as Ed Brown Gun Rubbers... the cops are going to have to call Inspector Cluso on this one.

Lloyd Danforth

There has been no mention of him on the station today.

DagnyTaggart

He is still missing.  When he drives to the radio station he drops off his 19 year old daughter.  They are both missing.

Alex Libman

I've personally abducted him, put him in a sealed metal crate with 7 days of food, water, and oxygen, and buried the crate on a small Alaskan island.

No porta potty? That's cruel.

KBCraig

Maybe he hasn't kept up on the news, and is out looking for Gary Dodds.

Lloyd Danforth

They announced that he and the daughter are allright and on their way back from wherever they went.

You might want to leave a comment at the UL about the irony:

NEWPORT – Police arrested New London radio host Aaron Aldridge yesterday in San Bernardino County, Calif., through a combined effort of local, state and county law enforcement from Nevada and California.

Aldridge, 42, of Newport, will be charged as a fugitive from justice based on outstanding warrants out of Newport for alleged possession and production of child pornography.

Since the discovery by one of Aldridge's relatives of child pornography inside his South Main Street home in Newport on Wednesday, police in several states have been actively searching for Aldridge, a former Newport police officer.

Aldridge disappeared April 13 with his 19-year-old daughter, Amanda, who was located inside Walt Disney World Friday and flew back to New Hampshire that night, where she was reunited with her family, police said.

It was unclear yesterday exactly why Aldridge, who served as a full-time Newport police officer from 1999 to 2005, abruptly left Newport last week. Newport Police Chief David Hoyt has said Aldridge was experiencing severe marital and financial difficulties.

"I think those were factors, but they might not have been the only factors," Hoyt said yesterday.

At the time of his disappearance, Aldridge was a morning radio talk show host at WNTK in New London, where he had worked for about six months. Before that, he was a news reporter for the Eagle Times, a newspaper in Claremont, for about three years. Colleagues and community members who knew Aldridge have expressed shock at the accusations against him.

Aldridge is wanted on two felony warrants, one for alleged possession of child pornography and one for the alleged production of child pornography. Police have said some of the pornographic photographs and video were produced inside Aldridge's home on South Main Street.

Newport police were alerted Friday to activity on Aldridge's credit card near Orlando, Fla. Aldridge also contacted a relative in Newport on Friday, seeking financial assistance, but did not disclose his location, police said.

It might be interesting to see what he wrote as a reporter for the Eagle Times, in Claremont.

Radio host returns to court
One-time reporter is porn defendant

By MARK DAVIS Valley News

Aaron Aldridge once seemed to enjoy showing off how comfortable he felt inside the courthouses he covered as a local newspaper reporter. A former police officer and bail commissioner, Aldridge eagerly chatted up the cops and sheriff's deputies and lawyers who milled around Sullivan County's courts, chewing over the day's events.

He usually wore a suit and tie, and he sometimes bragged that he was better dressed than anyone else in the courtroom gallery.

Yesterday, Aldridge, 44, of Newport, returned to one of those local venues, Newport District Court. But this time, he sat at the defendant's table, where the subjects of many of his stories had once been, and was dressed in jeans and an untucked, black T-shirt, with his ankles shackled.

He listened quietly as Judge Bruce Cardello announced three felony charges - one count of aggravated sexual assault and two counts of possessing child pornography - that could send him to jail for the rest of his life.

For the first time since the Newport police issued a warrant for his arrest last month, officials revealed that Aldridge is charged not just with possessing child pornography, but also with sexually assaulting a minor.

According to court documents, the Newport police have alleged that on Nov. 1, 2003, Aldridge engaged in sexual acts with a girl under the age of 16. The girl knew Aldridge, according to the documents.

Additionally, the Newport police said Aldridge had pictures and other images of sexually explicit conduct with two girls under the age of 18. One of the girls in the pornography is the alleged victim of the sexual assault, Sullivan County Attorney Marc Hathaway said in an interview after the hearing.

After he spent three weeks running from the law and sitting inside a California prison awaiting extradition, Aldridge said nothing but a few perfunctory yeses to Cardello's questions yesterday.

Hathaway asked that Aldridge be held on $500,000 bail. Aldridge did not oppose the request.

Aldridge declined to have a lawyer with him yesterday but asked Cardello to appoint a public defender for future proceedings. He is due back in court next week.

In an interview outside the courtroom, Hathaway said he asked for the high bail because Aldridge has already demonstrated he is a flight risk.

On April 13, Aldridge's wife, Heather Murphy, reported Aldridge and his 19-year-old daughter, Amanda Aldridge, were missing. On April 15, the police said, Murphy found child pornography in the house, and the police issued a warrant for Aldridge's arrest.

The police said Aldridge and Amanda Aldridge had driven to Florida. Amanda Aldridge returned home April 17 after the police found her in Orlando's Walt Disney World Resort, but her father fled. Four days later, he was arrested by the California Highway Patrol in the Mojave Desert near the Nevada border.

In Newport yesterday, Aldridge did not enter pleas to any of the charges. In New Hampshire, defendants are arraigned and enter pleas only if a grand jury hands up an indictment against them. That process can take several months, although yesterday Hathaway said he planned to present the case to a grand jury in June.

Newport District Court is only a couple of blocks from Aldridge's old home, where the acts allegedly took place. Yesterday, a pink notice hung on the front door, declaring that Sullivan County Sheriff's deputies had evicted the family Friday.

The police have previously said Aldridge was having financial problems and left because of marital problems and mounting debt.

According to documents filed in Claremont District Court, Murphy filed for a restraining order April 15, two days after she reported her husband missing, saying that she had learned he was allegedly involved in child pornography and could be armed. On April 16, Murphy filed for divorce. The couple have been married since November.

There were at least four children living in the home with Murphy, 35, and Aldridge. The couple also have a 1-year-old son, according to court documents.

Murphy could not be reached for comment yesterday.

Newport police Chief David Hoyt said in an interview yesterday that the police do not believe there are more victims, although investigators are still sifting through evidence from Aldridge's home.

Aldridge worked as a Newport police officer from 1999 to 2004 and later as a reporter for the Eagle Times in Claremont. Most recently, he was a morning talk show host at New London's WNTK-FM.

The courtroom yesterday was filled mostly with members of the news media, including a few who had covered stories alongside Aldridge. Aldridge kept his eyes forward, never looking back at the cameras.

Aldridge had interviewed Hathaway several times before, but the prosecutor said he did not believe handling the case represented a conflict of interest.

"My relationship with him has been professional," Hathaway said. "It's a small town. It's just the way things work."

Oh ya there is going to be some justice done I bet

It's one thing to be an ex cop and in jail, the CO's might protect you and you are probably not going to be in GP, but the CO's are not going to take kindly to having a child molester in their jail, ex cop or not he is going to be on his own, and sooner or later someone is going to get to him and it ain't gonna be pretty, but it will be justice.
