I'd imagine it has a warning but be careful not to mess with Drupal's rules because it could break everything. I'd recommend keeping a daily backup of it (if not the whole site). Sometimes when a piece of software updates the file it can break something so it's best to have the last functional version laying around.

I didn't change Drupal's rules, but I added yours to them. I did some quick testing and the forwarding and Drupal seem to work fine. Thanks for the warning. I'll keep an eye on it.
