I heard him yesterday on the radio and he's in Zeitgeist Addendum at length. There are YouTube vids of him out there, as well. This is a DO NOT MISS event!! This guy lays out how IT works - he was one of the mechanics that made it work til he got wise.

One of those nonexistant insiders who never come forward.

"Confessions of an Economic Hitman" and "The Secret History of the American Empire" are both phenomenal books.  I will definitely try to make this . . . he lays things on the line.

I read his first book and was turned off at his blame of everyone but himself. Instead of the lesson that government to government development aid and the IMF are dangerous to the world's poor, he thinks "better people" and democracy will make things all honky dory.

I look at what a guy like this reveals about how the world really works because he's been inside the machine. I don't necessarily listen to his recommendations of how things oughta be done.

John Edward Mercier

The 'machine' is just one big interconnected system of passing the buck (pun intended).

Very interesting book.  I'm reading it now.

BTW, Perkins is a NH native.  :D

Yes, he went to Tilton Academy where his father was a teacher.
