Has anyone read about a solar storm or something like that?

Supposedly it's supposed to happen tonight and then the earth is supposed to be dark for 4 days or something and it's suppose to begin with some kind of eclipse, there are so many "solar" terms", it confuses me.

  Relax and breath .

  I have done bit of reading on solar max and it will either make for spectacular northern lights on the weak end or knock out some communication satellites for a while some time in the next 2 or 3 years. Keep in mind satellites are built to with stand solar radiation outside of the Earths protective ionosphere so everything is just theory and the sites you linked are very suspect .

There is a theory that the Earth changes polarity every few hundred eons ... north pole becomes the south pole and south becomes north , some incredibly wild speculation about that also .

Eat drink and be merry .. there are no guarantees in baseball... and keep a few weeks of non perishables around

Thanks!     There will probably be no warning before this stuff happens and we'll just be shocked but then again there is so much talk about 2012, just like Pat said.
