I got one of those friendly reminders from Facebook to "reconnect" with Ryan this morning. I found the profile still there and that we have 84 friends in common. I defriended him. Or is it unfriended?

ODESSA- An Odessa man originally charged with one federal child pornography production count back in August of 2012 is now facing seven more federal counts. Those range from production of child pornography to coercion and enticement of a minor.

On just the surface, Ryan Robert Marvin seems like your typical 29-year-old man. His Facebook page shows he likes the band "Muse," the television show "Arrested Development," and the video game "World of Warcraft." He held down a steady job as a department manager at The Office Depot in Odessa and lived in a modest apartment at Arbor Pointe apartment complex, just off of 42nd Street and Grandview Avenue. However, federal agents believe there is a very dark side to Marvin.

In July of 2012, he was arrested for indecency with a child. Court documents show the boy, who was only 13-years-old, cried out to authorities that Marvin got him liquored up, gave him marijuana and then fondled him.

Marvin was arrested and taken to the Ector County Detention Center but he bonded out of jail the very next day.

During the course of all of this, officers recovered four of his hard drives with thousands of images and video files, some of which reportedly had child porn on them that Marvin allegedly produced using minors he knew. At that point, federal agents arrested him.

There was so much digital material to keep looking through that federal ICE agents took over the case for the Odessa Police Department.

According to Assistant U.S. Attorney Austin Berry, in August of 2012, Marvin was indicted on one count of producing child pornography. Since then, forensic analysts have continued combing through the overwhelming volume of digital data they collected off of Marvin's electronics, a process requiring several months of work.

Court documents show he had up to six terabytes of data. To give you an idea of how much that is, court documents claim that 10 terabytes is enough to hold the entire printed contents of the Library of Congress.

On Thursday, a grand jury at the Midland Federal Courthouse handed down a superseding indictment, with seven counts of making child pornography and one count of trying to coerce and entice a minor into having sex.

Counts one to seven come with a minimum mandatory term of imprisonment of 15 years but to not exceed 30 years. Count eight comes with a minimum mandatory term of imprisonment of 10 years but not to exceed life.

Marvin awaits an arraignment on the superseding indictment, which scheduled for April ninth at 10 a.m.

oh yea Reverend Ryan
I always love how people would hassle John Connell for not being a "proper" government certified minister or whatever. But he wasn't hurting anyone and instead was trying to make individual lives better.
