The supreme court has ruled that evidence gathered using non-normal technology is inadmissable in court (I think binoculars are okay, but infrared thru walls would count as non-normal). Thus, nothing's stopping them from finding an indoor stash using such technology, but they have to then find a legit way to have found out about it before they can go in.

Here in Illinois they don't care .. they kick in the door if they find the right heat signature ... if they bust an operation they're happy . The laws are for the civilians to follow here , not the bureaucrats  .

That ex DEA agent with the never busted again vids set up a sting to bust some corrupt cops in Texas who knowingly sent an innocent woman to prison for a long long time . he has them on camera busting in the house and finding hydroponic garden flowers ... and a search warrant that states some one saw mature pot plants .. lol . The cops even say " we been set up"
