Such as electing a Nazi as president to fix it all.

Um, I don't know if you're trying to be serious with that post at all, but that's not what I was thinking.  As I explained in the rest of my post, I think that market forces will drive certain things to emerge from the potential chaos of an impending collapse, like running water and heaters.  I'm sure, there is no doubt, that certain people think that Obama or whatever government messiah they choose, will lead them from the chaos into the promised land (of slavery and other such evils, that they will not call by those names), but I really do think that if a collapse comes, it would be short lived.  At least as compared to what the people behind such things as the blog that pointed out, and other things (that can be considered fear mongering) say will happen.  Why wouldn't someone in the market step in to provide services that were desired?  I have no intention of having to marry off my daughter to a blacksmith, in order to shoe my horses.  I think if you prepare now, you can keep what you've got safe and wait for or create the in demand service for what is wanted.

Check your potatoes. With all the wet weather, the blight has set in in many areas of the state.

Rich Angell called my potatoes 'the healthiest he'd ever seen'.  :D

Are you sure he was talking about vegetables

Gotta watch out for the Mazuma humor.

I just hilled my potatoes yesterday, they look super, I've never seen them grow like this.  The rest of my garden is doing terrible, I had to replant seeds that didn't germinate and all the lower leaves on the plants that did are rotted off.   I'll have green beans soon!

I have peas coming out my ears!  :)

On a serious note, I'm very scared but I'm doing by best to not let the fear run my life because any one of us could die at anytime and I don't want my "last days or moments" to be ruined being consumed with fear. (I'm not saying anyone is consumed by fear on here, I'm just writing about my own feelings). :)

We've tried the best we can to be prepared but a lot of times I wonder if we can ever be prepared enough, especially when we're not exactly sure what to expect.  I used to and sometimes still do cry a lot looking at all of the innocence and beauty in the world and how these evil creeps are hell bent on destroying it.

Let's do our best to stick together and not let them take the most important thing away, which is love !  :grouphug:

Very concerned about becoming "The United Police States" actually.... sad thing is while trying to spread the word I get a lot of "Im not into politics or government."  The even sadder part is I get this when I ask, "Are you concerned about preserving your constitutional rights?".
