I wonder if the cop was violating a rule by using  a cell phone for official business . Any one know if they record all the transmissions between the dispatcher and the walkie talkie's ? Are there any sunshine / open government laws in NH?

When laws are written which ban hands free cell phone use or texting while driving, they almost always have an exception about cops.  The claimed justification is so that the cops can do it for official business.

Yes, Anton, you need to be more careful. Cops are very sensitive people.  According to the current CNN headline, cops all over the country are offended by the fact that the President referred to stupid behavior as... well... stupid.
