 I wonder if the cop was violating a rule by using  a cell phone for official business . Any one know if they record all the transmissions between the dispatcher and the walkie talkie's ? Are there any sunshine / open government laws in NH?

Yep, that was Dale driving by in the backgorund.  He stopped to make sure things were friendly.

This morning I got a call from the county sheriff Mike Dureky (sp?) asking if I was in central square when sheriffs were asking about Russell Kanning. 

Sheriff:   Was it Russell Kanning? 
Me:        No.
Sheriff:   What about the wav file? (the porc 411 called in by Jim )
Me:        It was a joke.
Sheriff:   So he was lying?
Me:        Well, at the begining, then he admitted he was Jim Johnson.
Sheriff:   Oh, I didn't hear that part.
Sheriff:   There was a video recorded then, wasn't there?
Me:        Yes.
Sheriff:   Can I get a copy of that?
Me:        I'll have to call you back on that.

I wasn't going to put up the video due to bad audio, but since I had a request I did.  I called back to tell him he was on youtube, but it was busy.

Obviously we want to be kind to these folks but answering investigative questions may not be a good idea.

I know sheriff's deps in Merrimack county have cells for business stuff. The radio is for quick relays, the cell is for relaying non-emergency messages that can't be quickly shot out to the dispatcher.
