By DALE VINCENT AND DAN O'BRIEN

MANCHESTER – A veteran New Hampshire Union Leader sportswriter allegedly used web sites including Craigslist to recruit women for prostitution.

Kevin Provencher, 50, was arrested early today at his 153 Donald St. home by Manchester police, who also executed a search warrant at that location.

He has been charged with two felonies in Massachusetts. If convicted, Provencher faces a prison term of five years and a $5,000 fine on each charge.

Most adults go to work in order to make money they can use to exchange for goods and services. Most adults seek out and enjoy sex. What's wrong with doing both at the same time?

They didn't approve either of my comments. Mine usually go up right away. I didn't say anything vaguely offensive, just pointed out that the real crime was making a felony of consensual sex.

My second comment pointed out that the story has been heavily revised since it first appeared online, with more detail added, and it would be nice if the UL would add a "last modified" date and time to their web articles.
