There is talk of a New England ride-sharing trip to this conference on 9/11:
-------------------------------------------------------------

We are about to make the big announcement about the WE DEMAND TRANSPARENCY conference.

Take a look at our blog.
http://changeandtransparency.blogspot.com/

"We Demand Transparency!" is the conference on peace, truth and economics, in NYC, at St. Marks Church, from 9/11/09 to 9/13/09. This conference will bring together progressives and populists, patriots and peace activists. Saturday, 9/12, we have top presenters on the 9/11 cover-up. Sunday, we move onto even uglier secrets, like the USA's economic dysfunction. Where is the justice? How can we have a bigger, post-partisan, mass movement for peace, truth and real, grassroots economic change?

We Are Taking Action
The truth movement in NYC has been on the move for the past two years, gathering over 70,000 signatures to petition the City Council to allow a new 9/11 investigation question to appear on the November, 2009 NYC ballot. In July 2009, the City threw out 24,000 of these carefully validated signatures. However, the NY Supreme Court appointed a "special referee" to arbitrate the conflict, after NYC CAN sued to have the signatures re-certified.

The first day of "We Demand Transparency" ends with a two-hour rally for NYC CAN at St. Marks Church. Victims family member Bob McIlvaine, and NYC CAN attorney William Pepper (confidante of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King), discuss the on-going court battle with the City to allow democracy at the ballot box this November. Part of the proceeds from this conference will benefit NYC CAN. http://www.nyccan.org

New site for the conference: http://wedemandtransparency.com/

Looks like we have one carfull going down to the city for the conference. Anyone else interested? - we might be able to get a big room in the HI hostel for all of us. We're working on another interesting possibility, too.

Little Owl

This may have been covered before, but I have to ask anyway: What level of investigation and "transparency" would convince you that 9/11 was NOT a cover up?  Is there one?  So much of what I read about 9/11 sounds like the same people who could never change their religious faith regardless of the evidence.

If no amount of investigation and "transparency" would sway you, it doesn't make sense for anybody to bother.

L.O., are you looking to ride-share to the conference in NYC? The Sunday portion looks especially interesting to libertarians - topics on intelligence, Federal Reserve System and the drug war, among others. The stated goal is to create a new mass movement for peace, truth and real economic change. Sounds good, eh? If you want to go, we're starting to put together a 2nd carload of folks. What town are you in?

Little Owl

I would go into all of the reasons I would need to know more about this to determine if I would be interested, but its all academic.  I can't leave town this weekend no matter what.  If I could, I would probably go to the big tea party in DC anyway.

jaqeboy

K, I'll let you know what happens. Leaving 5AM tomorrow, picking up folks in several towns along the way.
