The time has come to introduce

Cardinal Canning Hours

they are backed by 1 Hour of my time or 1 Ounce of Silver

You can pre-buy 1 hour of work from me at a 10% discount from the current price of silver.

If you later need to trade the CC Shire Hour back into Silver or $, you can do that at a 10% discount.

You can trade the CCShire Hours with others and I will work for them. For those that want it public, we can keep track of who holds the Hours, here, or on a special website. Those that want it private, but part of a system can have in in the http://shirehours.com system.

So this can also be done by other people
we can all call them the same thing
or you can print your own favorite shire character on the note and call it a Shire Hour
the note will be as good as the issuer ... in my case i can only give out as many as I have silver to back it up, that should work fine for quite a while, since people will use up the my hours or others  i hire to do the work
for those that want their info public i will publish who are the proud owners of CC Shire Hours on the Welcome to the Shire site or on Barterer's ShireHours site if he wants me to. :)

You could have him work it off as a waiter at your next shindig. ;D

I'm sure he would want to honor his debt.

Hey, I would like to hear more about Shire Hours, (associated with Shire Silver? http://shiresilver.com/) and using silver to back the hours. That is a new one for me. We are working to create a local currency backed by silver. The notes are in ozs. so there is a 1/10, 1/4, 1/2, 1 and 5 ounce note. The notes are being created by our artist now, you can see he's about finished. http://www.moneyart.biz/cc-news.html

The Ripple system is very neat, how do you like using it?

Russell Kanning

not many use the ripple system
your idea is cool
Shire Silver does not exist yet .... many of us just use silver rounds in the Shire
that is what backs my Cardinal Canning Shire Hours

Russell Kanning

we will be printing out the first few Cardinal Canning Hours

they look alot like a check and can have any amount on them.
