While reading some political stuff tonight, it dawned on me that we haven't heard from Bradley Jardis lately. He's no longer on my facebook friends. The Epping website sucks, so no chance of contacting him there.

Anyone else?

Lloyd Danforth

Wasn't he a cop?  Why do you care?.........Oh!....never mind!

Russell Kanning

yea ... it has been a nice change

Tom Sawyer

I would assume Ian knows how to get hold of him.

Lloyd Danforth

Perhaps he will see him when he meets with the chief of police.

Brad is on leave from EPD.  You guys are going to love what he does next.  Wish I could say more.

Wow. I'm pretty hardcore and I'm still not as hard on Brad as you guys. He's a long long way from being dismissed as a lost cause, IMHO. I realize I often suffer from chronic optimism.

Can you say why he's on leave? If so, why is he on leave? If not, was it his choice or theirs?

Homeland Stupidity asked me to come meet Brad the last time I was at Taproom and for some reason I thought he was a FSP member that was also an attorney.

I ended up getting in a good conversation with Brian Travis and, while not intentional, blew Brad off. I remembered the next day where I heard his name before and some people told me of his plans...

It'll be interesting to see how that plays out.

Brad if you read this I'd love to chat with you for a bit. I don't dislike the person, it's the job that bothers me, but you do take a unique position from many LEOs and you get a little respect from me for making your stand.

Some of my future activism would benefit by your opinions. I hope that our first  encounter at Murphy's didn't give you the impression that I didn't want to interact with you. Send me your contact info in an IM. I think you'll like what I'm up to ;)

It's complicated. I think technically speaking, the leave was his call, but there's a point where that distinction doesn't matter anymore, and I think it's there. I seriously look forward to what happens beyond this. It might not mean all that much, in the grand scheme of things, but it will probably mean a bit to Brad.

Sorry, I can't say more.  (I don't really know a whole lot of details anyway.)

Kat Kanning

Well good, maybe he can join the ranks of decent human beings who don't lock their neighbors up in little cells.

when he made a point of saying he would arrest me if he saw me smoking some illegal drugs at porcfest .... i knew he was my enemy and not my friend
maybe when he threatens to detain you ... you will be in my position :)

FTL_Ian

Well, that was a while ago.  I think he was a little more concerned about his appearance to his bosses back then.

If you listen to last night's FTL, you can hear him talking about his use of discretion.  He is not explicit as to how, but I think it's pretty clear.
