looks rainy for this Sunday
maybe next week can be our first free market day

Russell Kanning

Grafton Free Market today

it isn't raining yet, so I will set up for an hour or so

i will get there by 11:30

Russell Kanning

I enjoyed the nice weather yesterday and checked out the place.
The basketball court is just fine. We can play that or frisbee on calm days. Softball and horseshoes will be good on windy days.
Many people drove by slowly, half of them on the way to the transfer station, so plenty of people will see our signs next week.
So if the weather is nice, Kat and I will set up next week around noon and bring the big softball and bat.

MTPorcupine3

Great! I was not in town at the time, so I missed out. What time should we advertise for?

Russell Kanning

i am thinking noon to 1
of course some will come early or stay late depending on the crowd

I will bring one sign that says

Grafton Free Market

and i will set up my little VT Redemption Center

Russell Kanning

too cold last week maybe soon

Lex

Russell, have you successful managed to recycle NH cans/bottles at a VT Recycling facility? From the research I've done online the recycling places in VT scan every bottle/can that is recycled, the bar codes have an identifier of where the can/bottle was sold and they wouldn't accept a can from a different state.

Russell's "in the can"

I posted that for him when he gets out! ;)

Kat Kanning

To answer for Russell, yes, we have successfully done this.

Russell Kanning

we might have a good location for this on 1000 main street

how about we see what the weather is like for sunday?

MTPorcupine3

Great idea! Perhaps we can do it alternately there, and at Agorist Acres when they're set up.

Russell Kanning

We are going with Rich's idea tomorrow at noon.

12 - 2pm
1000 Main street (hwy 4)
bring anything you want to sell/trade with others

Kat Kanning

Grafton Free Market is happening NOW!  :D  I hear there's hot dogs.  :campfire:  Just look for the FIJA sign on Hwy 4 in Grafton.
