a friend of mine showed me a letter from HSBC bank to account holders saying that they had received a cease and desist order from some office of thrift i think, it went on to say that they, as a result of the economy, have too many bad assest on their books, and the feds say they need more capital. it says account holders won't be affected (yeah right) and you can still make deposits (honestly, it says deposits and not withdrawls, its almost laughable) and that even though they have assets that are bad because of the economy they intend to sell those in the next 60 days ........

has anyone else seen or gotten one of these?? its a one page letter. my friend asked me what to do and my only response was, "you still have a bank account?!"  lol
