On Thursday, October 15th Jane Newton and Gary Cheney will be the featured guests of WKNH's Empire Watch.  Our discussion concerns an aspect of the US military weaponry that is long overdue: the widespread use of Depleted Uranium.  How the nature and use of this weapon of modern warfare can be so uniformly unreported in the media is itself an achievement in crime, and Empire Watch hopes to give our listeners the most comprehensive information about this as possible.

Newton and Cheney have spent the past six years counter-recruiting high schools in Vermont, talking with kids about the realities of life in the US military, while educating people about Depleted Uranium.  Cheney is a Veteran of the Vietnam War.

Empire Watch can be heard every Thursday at 9:00am (EST) on WKNH (91.3), and can be live streamed at wknh.org.
