Get rid of Barskey?

Want to get rid of Barskey for a while?

Seems that Mike has his eye on heading out west  to meet up with the Liberty caravan ... but he needs money for gas. We were trying to figure out some things that might help fund his trip. We had a few ideas ... Maybe you can help with and idea or two.

Now it occurs to me that maybe some people here in NH would like to get rid of him for a while. You know. Mike has been here for well over a year and he seems to be on-the-go non-stop, he travels all over the state having fun and helping/supporting other activists --- not to mention his own run ins with the state.
He also has started and runs about a half dozen Liberty oriented websites. Can you name them all?
Anyway, to the best of my knowledge not only has Mike not personally benefited from any of his activism, it has cost him lost of time and no small amount of money. Can you imagine how much he has spent just in gas alone (traveling to people's trials, etc.)? If he had not spent that money he might well have had enough to go away for a while.

To make a long story short; if you are tired of Mike Barskey and want him to go away for a while, here is your big chance. Just pitch in some money so he can afford the gas. If you don't have much money, pitch in a little and maybe you know someone who does have a lot of money. Perhaps some "public servants" out there will read this and get the ball rolling in a big way.

The rest of you who don't want Mike to leave in the first place might want to consider pitching in so that he'll have enough gas-money to return.

Is there a chip-in place or something so we could throw money at him with PayPal or the like?

John

See, the ideas are already coming in.

Mike should be on this thread by tomorrow ... He will probably do that ...

Getting rid of Barskey...now there's a worthy goal!  ;)

I'm pretty sure these two paypal accounts go exclusively to Mike:
Mail-to-jail
Robin Hood of Keene

Russell Kanning

Barskey:

Noun - Man trying to drive across the country to promote the NH Freedom Movement and help the caravan movers.

Verb - to steal from Robin Hood and give to ....?

As a member of http://libertycaravan.com I can still only speak for myself when I say that I'd love Barskey to join us!  I'm taking this thread as only a rumor til I hear from the man himself though!

I have been saving some bottles and cans to return for deposit for a rainy day.

Wow! Thanks or posting this, John.

Antigone (and anyone else who cares): yup, it's true. Kind of. I'd love to drive my motorhome out west and drive back with the liberty caravan, but it would cost approximately US$1600 in gas alone. I was brainstorming with John, Russell, and Kat about ideas to raise money for the trip, but none seemed feasible. I'll list them here in case anyone is interested.

  • If you have any possessions not too far from the route that the Liberty Caravan is taking, I could pick them up for you and bring them to NH.
  • If you want a one-way ride out west (I won't be able to bring you back with me), you could ride with me (the R has multiple beds) for the cost of half the gas during your portion of the trip.
  • I would spend at least one day in Las Vegas; I could place a bet (or bets) for you for the cost of 10% of the winnings.
  • I could put your advertisement (ad? logo? slogan?) on the side of my RV.
  • And, of course, there's John's "get rid of Barskey" fund. :)

One idea I came up with as a joke was to take pictures of myself next to famous landmarks, naked and holding a sign that says "I am the Free State Project," then charging the FSP to not publish them on the web.

If you have any other ideas how I could raise money for this trip, please let me know!

I think if I raised at least $1000, I'd be willing to spend the remainder for this trip. Also, if people donate but I don't get enough to afford the trip, I'll return everyone's money. Or, instead of donating, if you're interested, you could promise to donate $X and I'll only collect if I get enough donations + promises. I created a ChipIn page for this trip.

I couldn't think of any reasons people would pay me to make this trip, so this thread is kind of a joke, in my mind. If, however, someone thinks of something I could do on this trip to make people want to donate, I'd love it!

Thanks, John, and anyone interested in helping me join the Liberty Caravan!

If we're trying to get rid of Barskey, wouldn't it be cheaper just to rig up a really strong catapult? ;)

Fluff and Stuff

If you don't get much money, you can always do it in a car.  I've slept in my car during all four seasons without much trouble.  When making long trips, I often sleep in my car for days at a time.  But heck, you may be able to sleep in Marv or at a liberty activist's house a long the way.
