PETITION to prevent the disarmament of New Orleans from recurring in New Hampshire

We, the undersigned, urge all local, state and federal officials in New Hampshire to avoid ever repeating here the unconstitutional evils perpetrated upon Louisiana citizens by all levels of government.  While appreciative of the legitimate and even heroic work of some officers there, we are angered by the usurpations of others.

Operating in violation of United States Constitution Amendments 2 and 4, New Orleans police and Federal operatives have systematically invaded peaceful homes against the will of their law abiding occupants.  They have systematically demanded the handover of lawfully owned firearms, that they may more easily bully residents into flight.

We have a demand of our own:  That all authorities operating on New Hampshire soil refrain, now and forever, from firearm confiscations or gun bans that bear any resemblance to those perpetrated in Louisiana by Federal agents and by the government of New Orleans.

We urge individual law enforcement officers in N.H. to resist any orders which might direct them to commit such confiscations or home invasions here.

We pledge to resist as well, with individual initiative, and by all available necessary means, any attempt to confiscate or ban lawfully borne firearms here.

We ask all citizens of New Hampshire to do as we are doing and to make public, in advance, your intent to so resist if need be if New Hampshire is ever violated this way.  Discussion is underway at NHfree.com regarding potential methods of resistance, should it be required.  You can observe or join the discussion by going there. 

We bring forward these representations hopeful that, in doing so, we may prevent both the evil and the response it would mandate.
